Outlander -- Buddy Read

It has been fun seeing everyones opinion on one of my favorite books. I was considering a revisit of book 2 soon, but I think I will wait and see if anyone is interested in continuing the series as a buddy read :)

I'm on Chapter 22 now (view spoiler)[and kind of agree with Melisha. Clare was so quick-witted and self-confident before, but when she gets taken by the English again, or even before, she suddenly turns into ... a wimp. Ugh, all the times she goes "Oh, Randall looks so like Frank!" And the whole scene between her and Jamie after they escape the fortress, I stopped liking him then. I'm back to wondering whether to go on or just give it a couple days. (hide spoiler)]

This is the second of two current reads that I'm not really enjoying, and I'm not even halfway through. (view spoiler)[I liked stand-up-for-herself Clare a million times more than this wimpy girl. Hi Ellen, its a shame your not enjoying it but if thats the case you're right to put it on hold at least for a while. I'm in the middle of Chapter 24 and still finding it reasonably enjoyable. I've been ill for the last few days and so have done no reading whatsoever. Hopefully I'll get back on track soon. I hope you find a book more to your taste soon.

I finished the book. I gave it 3 stars. In the beginning I found it quite slow. It started to pick up and I enjoyed it. I'm watching the series now which is not slow and things are explained better. I would definitely recommend watching it.
