Denizen (den13) | 1138 comments I had to check out A Gentleman From Moscow in hardcover as my audio was yanked away. I cannot believe how difficult it is to read around my cat who likes to lay on my chest and put her face about an inch from mine. I am seriously hooked on my Kindle.

Can you still get regular a Kindle (non-Paperwhite)? (I'm not sure they have them anymore.) Did you try turning the light off completely?

Yes, I'm thinking about that. I'm hoping someone will let me try reading theirs first. Also, I will try the paperwhite one more time in case it was a coincidence (it's possible I was going to get one anyway from something else). But not this one since it's not 3G.

Karin | 9225 comments Okay, here is my final decision--the old fashioned kind that has no light of its own. It's going to arrive this week. Today, someone gave me a Nook she'd given her late mother that is the same style, so I'll be able to get books from both places!
