Missy Sheldrake (missysheldrake) | 143 comments Okay, now fix it so it's you, VM! <3

Edited to update: I didn't know that about your hashtag! I'll go check it out!

PS your writing is brilliant. Can't wait to read more of your stuff!

Christina McMullen (cmcmullen) Yeah, this totally looks like a bot post and I thought I was the only bot here! Unless...

Well, he is a ninja. Maybe we can't see his real post! Tricky!

Edit: Okay, you fixed it, but I still maintain that there is a secret ninja post here somewhere, but I'm not going anywhere near Amanda and that katana.

Okay, but it is a glowing katana. Are you proficient?

I need an explanation of what a katana is first. haha

A katana is a curved sword that a samurai uses. They are sharp on only one edge, but the best ones use folded steel to make that edge exquisitely sharp.

That opening scene to Cinders had me from the moment I started reading. And Hontas twisted my imagination with brutality done right.

Yes, omg, open a write and edit shop! If so, I'm reserving a spot at the front of the line. As a non English speaker sometimes I struggle so hard with a certain passage.. I would definitely make use of your services.

So glad you are back into writing gear. You are a survivor. You can do this.

I am pretty sure your gut is right. Since you said you lost your notes with your memory loss... it's best that you follow that gut anyway since it's the thing that will permit you to go on with the new stuff. Hug from behind

Amie O'Brien | 189 comments Sounds awesome! I think my self-medicate Youtube fix is watching clips of Rhett & Link. I can't get enough of "Will it Jello", "Will it Icecream", "Will it Sushi" and more. I spent a solid 10 minutes watching them try on and evaluate women's jeans just the other night. It's probably the real reason I don't have my sequel yet. :P

Good luck on all your endeavors!

I say keep it. It's your heritage and there is no shame in it. People will always find something to dislike if they want to. If not the spelling it will be something else. Seriously, if someone doesn't know the difference between the two, maybe it's time they do.

By asking your editor to change the words for American spelling you risk missing some. No matter how great the editor is, errors are bound to happen. THEN readers might have a reason to complain.

I think it would be ok to add something at the start of the book if you feel it would help but I don't think it is something absolutely necessary. But that's just me. Maybe because I am a Canadian living in the USA, but geez, if I learned the difference, so can everyone. :P

message 31: by Jane (new)

Jane Jago | 1015 comments I say write how you are comfortable and that includes spelling.

You wonderful person! My friend got two corgies, not really rescues but took them off people's hands, and trained them in agility. They were lovely dogs.

Word has it's own quirks. I overload it on 'typos' because I write fantasy and use made up words/odd names and it makes it choke sometimes. Glad you've got it figured out.

That's a lot of edits!

Sam (Rescue Dog Mom, Writer, Hugger) (sammydogs) | 443 comments Awe, shucks, Nat. Corgis are experts at agility because of their short legs. They're low to the ground and muscular; built for speed. I've seen it up close and it's amazing. They are indeed such happy, lovable, and playful dogs. Hugs

A new good tale isn't a bad thing.

My wife's son has corgis and a half-wolf / half-husky. We went over the other day to play with them. They were all fantastic dogs.

The rat terrier that bit me, though.... not such a fun dog.
