I love this show. I am so sad they cancelled it and I'll never know what happened. I know it ended when the original books did but a short season two would have still been awesome. I think I've watched this on Netflix like 6 times.
I loved the show!!! I hated that they cancelled it. I am now trying to hunt down the book series I think I own 1 or 2 books but neither of which is the first one.
Be careful how you buy them because it was originally 3 short books, but now it's been combined into two books and the rest of them are ghostwritten. I see so many negative reviews because people feel duped.
Yeah, a lot of people don't like the ghost writers. You can tell the difference between the writing.
I read all the books much better than the Vampire Diaries, but yes the author didn't want to keep writing TVD the way the publisher did and turned out she signed a bad contract and they basically owned the series, so at some point she got forced out and ghost writers finished the books. I think her books were better. I hate that they cancelled this show, it was so good and could have been great!
I liked the Secret Circle books better than the VD books, but I like the VD show better. Both series have been taken over by ghost writers or even the show writers expanding upon her ideas. At first I was thinking "why would I ever read books about the originals that she didn't write" but now that I think about it the show writers did an amazing job improving her stories. Maybe those books are worth a read after all.
I would try to get behind this but I don't know if I could read them but of course I am not allowed to buy any books this month sooooo I guess it's okay right now if I don't read those books. I have finished the first bind up of the Secret Circle and enjoyed it I just hope to finish the rest of them soon. I enjoyed the books.
I will admit that she got the crappy end of the deal with her contract because all of her ideas are no longer her ideas.
