Since there appears to be some confusion, I've added the following to the rules above:Limited time discounts and free books are just that: limited time promos through established retail outlets. We do not allow permafree listings, normally 99¢ books, newsletter sign ups, downloads from data collections sites such as instafreebie, or anything else that is not a limited time promo. Limited time means 30 days or less.
Remember, you have your own showcase for posting anything else.
A clarification as it seems the group is growing much larger since Ann's email: discounted books means books that are normally at a higher price that have been discounted to 99¢. Free Books are books that normally have a price and are temporarily free. These must be available through a legitimate retailer, not free with a newsletter subscription and not as part of a service like instafreebie.Thank you
Since we've had to delete several posts here, I'm bumping the rules. Remember, we do not allow authors to create threads in this folder. If you have a limited time promotion, put it on the proper thread. Nothing else goes in this folder.
This folder is where you will be able to post about your promotions and giveaways. Please post on the appropriate thread only and do not start a new thread. We are trying to make it as easy as possible for readers to find what they are looking for. If you have a book that fits under multiple genres, feel free to post to the appropriate lists, but abuses will be tracked and may result in expulsion from the group. Each thread will have its own rules, so make sure to read those.
Please delete your post when it expires.
edit to add: For best results, add your books on the day that they are free or discounted. People are more likely to click through at the moment they first read rather than note a deal and come back for it later.

Read Me First: Readers
In this folder, authors will announce their promotions, Goodreads giveaways, and free book deals. We have broken these down by genre, so as to make it easier for you to find what interests you. By clicking “follow this conversation” at the bottom of a thread, you will be informed when a new post is made, meaning you will not miss out on a freebie or new offering. As with all of our posts, we appreciate any and all feedback from readers as to how we can streamline and improve this folder. Please let us know if you have any suggestions at all.
