I'm not familiar with any of your series, so I'll go with Option B, so that I have more of a chance of picking something you'll like!

I'll choose Weddings by Design since you've already read two books in the series, I hope it's a safe bet.

I'll also choose The Paper Magician Trilogy because I like the cover art.

Louise, I feel terrible you didn't see it, but I DID pick for you!! I think there was just confusion as I didn't make it a separate post. I wrote it in my original post the day the pairings came out...sorry if you didn't see it!! (I wrote: I pick Kate Daniels (and if she wants a second series, Black Dagger Brotherhood). This is only my second month participating and last month is seemed as if most people just responded this way--I will make sure to include my picks in a separate post in the future. Nobody wants to feel like they were forgotten or left out!

I didn't know either Elaine. Thanks for letting me know.
I'm glad you pointed that out.

We should post a separate post and update our bookshelf post.

Don't worry Elaine, next month you won't be a rookie anymore and the holidays won't keep us preoccupied.

Happy New Year everyone

message 98: by Susan A (new)

Susan A | 2091 comments Danielle

I finished one book from each series.

Filmed to Death -- I don't often write reviews, but I did for this one.
I struggled with the rating. I guess 2.5 stars. I like this series; I wanted to like this book. However, the author brought in a character, Stephen, for no other reason than for the regular characters to express their superiority I guess. See this review for a much better description that I can write I felt uncomfortable reading this. It was like watching a 1980's high-school bully movie, except that the characters you used to like are suddenly the bullies. The librarian gang's treatment of this new co-worker was horrible and completely undeserved, making me lose respect for these characters (and the author too I think) that I have enjoyed reading about for 11 books. Furthermore, this was filler. This character served no purpose. He wasn't part of mystery. This may be the end of the Jamie Brodie series for me. I hope the author reads reviews. I am not the only reviewer to note how distasteful the part of the book was.

Keenan 3 stars This series continues to be interesting enough for me to continue with it, but I really can't read more than 2 per month. The books are just too similar.

Thanks for these picks.

Shari Lee,
I finished 1 book per series The Marriage Mistake (Marriage to a Billionaire, #3) by Jennifer Probst , 3- stars and Scandalous Desires (Maiden Lane, #3) by Elizabeth Hoyt , 4 stars.
I may read another in each series if I can but I definitely liked The Maiden Lane series more.

Thanks for the picks
