That's a nice poem! ^^

well what's wrong with rereading books? I do it all the time ^.^

message 58: by Harpoon (new)

Harpoon ... | 1387 comments I hardly re read books, I browse once in a while but not read the whole book again.

message 59: by Harpoon (new)

Harpoon ... | 1387 comments same here. In every book there will be stuff that bores you.

message 60: by Tara, In hoc signo vinces (new)

Tara | 1068 comments Mod
Mhm. Like my friend who's an artist loves reading the big paragraphs of description, while those do not appeal to me. I often find myself skipping those big paragraphs to get to the dialog, and then I have to force myself to reread them because I don't want to miss anything. ^.^

it would make sense to have him and the casket be pushed out to sea sense it would finish the prophecey

Jacobe | 40 comments Katie wrote: "I didn't mean that it was a comedy. But think of movies and books like The Last Samurai and Anna and the King and A Voice in the Wind. They have a depth to them that just fits the dyin..."

message 67: by Tara, In hoc signo vinces (new)

Tara | 1068 comments Mod
But how do you know it's home to them? They may not like living there, but they have to in order to one day save their race.

message 68: by Brianne (new)

Brianne (iliketoreadbooks) | 588 comments yes, i was being sarcastic, but more going to the point that there are tones of places they could be.

message 85: by Brianne (new)

Brianne (iliketoreadbooks) | 588 comments yea

message 86: by Brianne (new)

Brianne (iliketoreadbooks) | 588 comments they did help people, a lot, then the people started killing them.

call a wild dragon a coward?
it would eat you.

message 87: by Brianne (new)

Brianne (iliketoreadbooks) | 588 comments well, maybe they're a grudge holding bunch, they decided that the human would have to duke it out without them on either side, then come out when the fighting was done

message 88: by Brianne (new)

Brianne (iliketoreadbooks) | 588 comments dunno? they're tired of hiding. they like to fly out in the open

message 89: by Harpoon (new)

Harpoon ... | 1387 comments John wrote: "thats is apoint, galby lost loads of army in the spine"

he still has "the laughing dead " magic, i think.

message 90: by Brianne (new)

Brianne (iliketoreadbooks) | 588 comments the whole like WE'RE CHOPPING THEIR HEADS OFF AND THEY JUST SMILE!!! thing we dealt with last book

message 91: by ~♥Alyssa♥~ (new)

~♥Alyssa♥~ (lyssie123) | 592 comments *shudder* That was creepy. But Galby hadn't invented that spell when he lost a huge chunk of his army in the Spine. That was before ERagon found the egg. Hey, but that doe smake sense! Maybe that little minor detail - part of the Empire's army mysteriously died in the Spine - might be explained later. Maybe there's something there...

I was just wondering, does anyone else NOT like Roran? He really really really bugs me. I like him in the first book, but starting right at hte beginning of Eldest, I hate him. It's the opposite with Katrina; I don't like her in 1-2, but in Brisngr I do.

i skip all the bits with oran in now, cants stand them

message 93: by ~♥Alyssa♥~ (new)

~♥Alyssa♥~ (lyssie123) | 592 comments Yes, he had not invented it yet. And in Eldest, I love the parts with Eragon in Ellesmera. Teh bits with Roran are ok, but I usually skim. Then in Brisingr, I totally skip Roran.

message 94: by Kathy (new)

Kathy Maybe there needs to be a reread before the next book comes out. You might be surprised as to how a character hits you the second time you read a book instead of the first. And you might pick up on some things that you missed by SKIMMING! (Humph! Didn't you learn anything in English class? The Cliff Notes version is not a substitute for the real thing.) :)

message 95: by ~♥Alyssa♥~ (new)

~♥Alyssa♥~ (lyssie123) | 592 comments I've read each book at least 7 times, and the first 2-3 I read it all the way through. Or sometimes I read Eldest just with Roran.

lol! i kind of skimmed through my fourth book in english because it was boring to read...very dry and un entertaining. I still got a decent mark for the unit too XD.

but i haven't skimmed anything in eragon, eldest and brisingr then again i haven't re-read it yet either. There are parts where i want to skim though but i don't.

message 97: by ~♥Alyssa♥~ (new)

~♥Alyssa♥~ (lyssie123) | 592 comments What? That's not too much...I've read each Harry Potter book about 20 times each.

message 98: by ~♥Alyssa♥~ (new)

~♥Alyssa♥~ (lyssie123) | 592 comments Only a year? Wow, it has! I guess I've read Brisingr closer to 5 times.

I love the Eragon-Roran part on the last chapters of book 2 and the beginning chapters of book 3.

~♥Alyssa♥~ (lyssie123) | 592 comments Whoa, that's the exact same as me!!! I only like the last few in Eldest and the first few in Brisingr.
