I immediately started to dislike Jane when she admitted that she got pregnant on purpose. It started to change my whole outlook on her side of the story. I hate that all the blamed Jean for him physically abusing her. In chapter 41 there's a quote that said "She had driven me to such a point that I hit her." For a while throughout the story I was afraid the Jane had suffered sexual abuse at the hand of her father along with the physical abuse. I feel like that explains a lot about her acting more like a child figure when it comes to her relationships with Rebecca and Joley.
Yea I can see that. She has been through so much. I thought that it was going to be full on sexual abuse with her father the way it was reading. Her father was dumb in my opinion. Why get mad at your wife and then sleep with your child like why. Now with that being said I could see why Jane wanted to smack her father when he passed. I wish that Jane would be more cautious about what she does. Did the abuse from her father faze her? Yes, but that doesn't mean that she needs to go out and deal it out to her lover or what have you. I wish she didn't rip up the letter to Joley so that way Joley can see what up set her so much about her father.
