This sounds incredibly familiar, but I'm having trouble finding something I've read that fits.What I'm remembering (to see if it matchs your book) is along the lines of, she gets off the ship with a bunch of women, thinking something like 'I'll just seem/act unwelcoming so nobody will pick me' and the king/important guy immediately chooses her I think because of her hair color -maybe red, or possibly some other physical attribute- being unusual for them and shes not thrilled since she was just there for some undercover assignment type thing. Also have a feeling he was pressured to be there but wasn't planning on picking a woman til he saw the h.
If that seems like it could be the same book you're looking for I can try and track it down, I suspect it may be one I started, read a little bit of and then put down without finishing, which is why I haven't been able to find the title yet.
... I knew I read it... somewhere and I liked it so much... brb. gonna go through my read shelf.

Sadly I am back again with yet another series of books I can't recall the author or names of...
I want to say I read them about a year ago....
In one of the books there was a female earth reporter going undercover into an alien dating agency... The agency was suspected of 'restoring' the virginity of some of the women (maybe?)
There were several races to choose from and she ended up where there were shifters (dragon?).
I vaguely recall something about a glowing crystal he had (they crushed the crystal which meant he could never have another woman?)...... He turned out to be a King of his people (had at least a couple of brothers also). Very alpha male....
I will update if I can remember more.... Help? :)
