Courtney Erskine | 12 comments Three books in one.

First one is about a girl named Emily, who's a quaker. Works in a chocolate factory with her friend Kate. She lives with her grandparents, who are strict in their ways. Emily meets a friend of Kate's (Ben) at a dance (Which is forbidden to her). She falls in love with Ben, and ends up marrying him, to the dismay of her grandparents.

The second book is about Kate, Emily's friend. She has a fast romance with Ben's brother, but, he ends up breaking her heart. He leaves, and Kate ends up falling in love with the preacher at Emily, and Ben's church.

In the last one, Ben moves his mom, and sister, Pearl to live with Him and Emily. Pearl becomes a school teacher, but leaves after a year, because the school intendant is very overbearing. I think she falls in love with Emily's brother...?

Anyway, that's all I remember! Thanks for the help!

Courtney, I moved your request to the Unsolved folder because you're looking for a specific book.

What year did you read this book?

Courtney Erskine | 12 comments Oh, oops, thought I had done that. I was having trouble posting. Sorry. Early 2000's I think. The book I think was written in the 90's? Late 90's?

The one with Emily is The Heart Has Its Reasons
The one with Kate is Love Shall Come Again
