Why? I mean, considering that the list no longer belongs to the creator AND if the "instructions" aren't clear enough the creator can't remove books...

...why then force someone to remain attached to something they have no control over? What does that accomplish besides making some people upset? And causing members to stop maintaining lists that then go on to become nothing but unusable pure SPAM?

This is not a Librarians Group issue, but one for the Feedback Group, or you may wish to use the Contact Us link on the Help page. Librarians can help with issues pertaining to specific book records or most related issues, but have no control over general site functionality or related issues. Closing thread.
