Sandy | 2 comments This is going to drive me nuts! I read this book a few years ago - maybe even further back than that. Synopsis is: young attorney working in The City (London? not sure), works entirely too much, makes some sort of error with a client's account and gets fired. She is devastated and blindly hops on a bus, to 'anywhere but here'. Winds up in a small town and somehow gets hired as a housekeeper (though she has zero cleaning skills). Starts relationship with local hot guy, who (of course!) HATES lawyers, so she keeps silent about her former life., etc., etc. Help!!

This sounds familiar. I feel like it has been requested before. But I can't find the thread...

Sounds like The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella -- mentioned in this thread: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Glad your memory works better than mine, LG. Btw, I used "lawyer fired" in the group search.

Good call....

Lisa (lisalal) | 70 comments That's it for sure. I have listened to the audiobook many times. She runs away from a work error, ends up working as a housekeeper, meets cute gardener guy that owns a pub, his mother teaches her how to cook for her employers, hilarity ensues...
