I’m not surprised about Esme. That pool stunt was all I needed to read to be sure, which means Goddard has everything covered. Interesting that Citra killed her self and I wonder if she will be able to access information from the Thunderhead now that she is technically human again (not an apprentice). When she was being revived before, it seemed like someone was speaking to her from “beyond” so maybe that will have something to do with it. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 17

Will they be more like Faraday and remain righteous or will they inherit their new scythe's personality and become someone despicable like Goddard. Already read Scythe and Thunderhead. They were extremely well written, so hats off to Shusterman! I can’t wait for book three, The Toll, and good luck to Neal in the future. I would also encourage everyone to read the Unwind Dystology, also by Shusterman.

It's sad to see that although Scythe and Thunderhead are both masterpieces it doesn't get the recognition it deserves

I completely agree with you there. The Arc of a Scythe Trilogy is shaping up to be one of the greatest pieces of young adult literature of the twenty first century, yet so few people know about them. We should start a group to raise awareness for the books.
