I know! (view spoiler)[ they have no reason for doing things any more, it seems. They can keep having kids and growing their families, but how many people can they sustain on Earth anyway? Why haven't they expanded and traveled to other planets? They KNOW everything and don't need to evolve anymore, but why aren't they colonizing space or something (hide spoiler)]

I liked Citras little explanation of her name, saying that it was Anastasia because of who she could have grown up to be if given the chance. I was hoping that Volta would change his mind and leave but I am glad he went out when he did because I don't think I would have liked him anymore for what he did. (hide spoiler)]

I like the concept of this book. It’s original.

The diary entries are cool since we are founding out how the world ended up like it is in the story. That is 1 question that often goes unanswered in books set in the future. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I was impressed with this book. I really liked the ending. I’m glad Rowan got to live. Him becoming Scythe Lucifer was a nice touch. Citra was smart. The death of Volta was sad but it gave Rowan more motivation to Get rid of Goddard and improve the scythedom. (hide spoiler)]
