So Amazon is coming up with 603 pages for the kindle edition.
What have you got after the 578th page?

That should be included in the page count.
(@monika: Publishers are generally not a reliable source for page counts, as they tend to include any blank pages at the end.)

For Kindle editions, Amazon is the only authority.

I believe publishers don't have Kindle information on their pages? Anyway, according to the publisher, the ISBN belongs to a paperback.

Yes thank you Sandra!

This was the first clear proof I came across when doing a search, but it has been stated before, and by rivka as well.

well i think that also depends on a country i mean.. i think you would be surprised if you took polish (my native) book and saw that the chapter 1 / prologue (whatever the book starts with) is already for example page 9 because the publisher counts all the dedications, title page etc as a part of a book...
@ Sandra i think it would be the best if Madeleine confirmed whether she owns a paperback or ebook

Not surprised at all, that is the general custom. The first page of text is seldom numbered 1. And so publishers also count the blank pages at the end as part of the book, but GR doesn't.

Maybe we should ask to have it explicitly stated in the Manual?
