Ann (annrumsey) | 16927 comments Ok great! I've added Bannerless for October and The Fact of a Body: A Murder and a Memoir for September now too! Looking good for more great discussions! Thanks!

Carol/Bonadie wrote: "Yes on The Fact of a Body. I don't think I'll be reading Bannerless, but there may be others out there who are interested. If yes, please weigh in!"

Sandi wrote: "I would read Bannerless if it was a group read."

Ann (annrumsey) | 16927 comments We have read or are reading some terrific group read books again this year. Our latest book (Bannerless ) is scheduled from October to November 15 so there is room for one more to close out the year.
Suggestions are welcome. (New or one we have already considered)
An option is IQ, or _______
Thanks to all who have participated!

Ann (annrumsey) | 16927 comments Another option, though it may be harder to get ( release date 24-Oct) is The Rooster Bar by John Grisham

Ann (annrumsey) | 16927 comments Since several people have mentioned being behind a bit on group read books; I extended the two current books for September and October two weeks longer, from 45 days to 60 days each.. That takes us up to December for the next group read selection.

I've heard mixed feelings about The Girl Who Takes an Eye for an Eye, but it might be a good December selection for discussion of how the series has evolved after Stieg Larsson's death. Anyone interested in it for a group read?

Ann (annrumsey) | 16927 comments Sherry: I am in line for the audio of The Girl Who Takes an Eye for an Eye at the library. I think it could be any day or another three weeks as I appear to be next in line. I kind of hope it is a couple more weeks.

Carol/Bonadie (bonadie) | 9483 comments I just picked up the audio ofThe Girl Who Takes an Eye for an Eye and will be ready to listen to it whenever others are. I picked up 3 other audios so have others to listen to, including the latest in the Department Q series, one of my favorites.

Ann (annrumsey) | 16927 comments Terrific Russ, Carol, Sherry, Melodie, Geri and all interested!
I'm glad we have interest in a couple more group reads to close out 2017.
I am number 77 on the list for the new Grisham The Rooster Bar and hope to get to the audio of The Girl Who Takes an Eye for an Eye soon enough to match up with Carol's and perhaps Sherry's reading of it. I went ahead and used an audible credit for it.

Amy | 1346 comments The rooster bar sounds good.

message 64: by Sandi (new)

Sandi (sandin954) | 1276 comments Thanks Ann for all you do coordinating the group reads.

I have The Rooster Bar on hold and have the audio version of The Girl Who Takes an Eye for an Eye on my MP3 player so should be good to go on both.

I finally got to start the audio of Bannerless today.

Ann (annrumsey) | 16927 comments Previewing 2018 Group Read books -I will start a separate 2018 nomination/list thread later.
Who is interested in these books? To help you line up library loans for the new releases there are two continuing series books that have been group reads and release early in 2018.
Possible for both February and March:
The third Sara Alt book (Release 2/27/2018) a prequel The Policeman's Daughter and the new (second Aaron Falk) book by Jane Harper: Force of Nature (Release 2/6/2018
