Yeah it kinda is. I agree with Farren though. I'm glad she was finally useful but I also agree with you. I wish she was useful because she finally bothered to train and learn Shadowhunter ways instead of having a power like that and only being useful for that one particular moment when they need something created.

Oh god how I want to DNF this book! 40 pages from the end and I just can't stand it. (view spoiler)

Sorry for that long rage about my most hated MC ever, but I just needed to get it out to everyone how I hate her. I just hate her. Not looking forward to the rest of the series :/

I agree with everyone on Clary. Cassandra Clare could not have written a more annoying main character. At the end of the book..."
Oh man I agree with what you said about Valentine doing the best thing ever. Totally made my laugh out loud. Made my night and this book a little less shitty.

I agree with everything you have say about Clary. Another one of my favorite parts was when Isabelle says (view spoiler) Even then she doesn't realize how her selfishness is affecting everyone else.
I guess if Cassandra Clare chose to have Clary wish away demons then she would not be able to write more books. But you are right. (view spoiler)

I still gave it 3 stars though. I still love the world building and some redeeming characters in this book (Magnus, Alec, Simon, Luke, and maybe Isabelle sometimes...)
Then there's also the whole plot twist making us think that Jace and Clary were siblings and I ended up shipping an incest-y relationship. But then they turned out to not be siblings and her brother's probably evil. I liked that part. It was creative....
But yeah not my fav so far.

I start City of Fallen Angels because I think that it next in publication order, but so far I've only had time for the first 2 chapters. I'm still determined to finish the rest of TMI and TID plus Lady Midnight in the next 6 weeks though!

I started City of Fallen Angels yesterday. I'm currently 6 chapters in.( is it just me or is this book really slow compare to the others?) I'm still determined to finish all the books before Lord of Shadows comes out, too. I work so much over the summer that if I don't read it before the end of June I won't get to it until August.

At least it is the shortest book if you end up not liking it very much!

I finished my reread of City of Fallen Angels the other day and... it's still absolutely my least favorite book of hers. It's just so focused on relationship drama. I rated it 3 stars before, and I did like it better without the horrible narration, but I'm debating whether I should throw an extra half star in or not.
I'm reading two books plus ACOWAR is coming out in a week (!) so I'm trying to figure out how to fit 6 more of Clare's big ass books into my schedule in the next month lol

@Farren I'm so scared to read ACOWAR. I LOVED ACOMAF with a burning passion. I'm not sure if I'm ready for the heartbreak, insanity and epic ness that is ACOWAR. And of course I don't know if I can wait a whole year after reading ACOWAR.
