Oh by the way, my described steps have nothing to do with adding a new shelve! So perhaps you’re one step too far and don’t see the bookshelves (edit) option?
Just click on my books, and look for bookshelves (edit) without clicking on add shelf! (I don’t know how to add a screenshot otherwise I would show you)

Pien is right. It just worked for me too. When you click on the "My Books" tab up top, then right next to the word "Bookshelves" is the edit button. It will then bring up this screen...

You can then play around and make any changes you want.

I do think it’s great they found a way to loan and borrow books from each other. I don’t have the possibility (yet) but I would definitely use it to share some favorites with a bookworm friend. I know it’s possible to get the drm off of your ebooks but that doesn’t feel right.

How to UPDATE or LEAVE a Group Challenge

(this is for Group Challenges only, NOT for the main Goodread's Yearly book challenge):

If you joined a Book Snails group CHALLENGE (or a challenge at another GR group), and are having trouble updating or deleting a current challenge... or if you just want to remove an old challenge from your Profile,

I hope the info below will help. If anyone has a better way, please let us know here.

I am doing this on a regular computer, not a smartphone, so that may be slightly different. More info at bottom:

1. Go to the individual group challenge that you wish to edit or delete/leave:

Example: The Book Snails "10 Best Books of the Past Decade" challenge is at
https://www.goodreads.com/challenges/...

2. There should be an update my entry option for you on each group Challenge.
You may have to scroll down to find it!
From there, you can update your entry (add books, etc).
Be sure to click [Save] after making any edits/updates.

Optional:

Once you click update my entry you should also see a new option for

cancel | leave challenge

cancel = never mind, don't change anything
leave challenge = delete your entry in the challenge

leaving a challenge should remove it from your Profile, your Goodreads.com login page, etc.,
although you may have to log OUT , then log back in to see the changes,
or it may take a few minutes for Goodreads database to process on their end.

If you can't do the above on the mobile/phone version of Goodreads, either try logging in on a PC or Mac computer, OR:

To switch to the full desktop version of the site, scroll down and tap on the Desktop version option at the bottom of the page.

and then click unread,

DUPLICATE Titles in your GR Book Lists?

You probably have a few unintentional DUPLICATES in your GR book lists, such as when you added a paperback version, and months later added a Kindle version of same book. I usually accumulate a dozen or more dupes a year.

scroll allllllll the way down to the 'Tools' section in the left column,
