Q: Out of all the books you have written, which one did you have the most fun creating?

Q: Name your favorite song of all times?

So, my question is: Which books are easier to write? Young adult or adult? Why?
P.S.: I'm a huge fan of your books! My favorite one is Fangirl,it was the first time that I could really identify myself in one of the character.

One of the reasons I love your books so much is that the characters you create are completely unique (and have a unique personality) yet realistic and also the growing relationships between them. How do you come up with your characters? And is it easy to write their growing relationships?

I really enjoyed Fangirl because aside from the cute love story, I felt most strongly about the relationship between Cather and Wren. As a sister myself, I felt like you really captured many aspects of a sibling relationship that are real to me. I especially loved the final piece Cather wrote about hide and seek.
My question for you: what was the hardest part about developing the relationship between the two twins and why did you choose to develop their story in Fangirl the way you did?
I'm looking forward to future works from you! All the best, and thank you for all the wonderful stories.

Thank you so much for taking the time to hopefully read my question!

Love your writing :-)

Love your writing :-)

thank you for taking the time to answer our questions.
I was wondering what your motivation is for writing?

I absolutely just love you and the way you write, you make the book come to life in just how amazing you describe everything. Eleanor & Park is my all time favourite of course! I've read it at least 8 times- I'm not even joking. Because of that book I discovered The Smiths, Joy Division and others who I now love so much and always listen to whenever I pick up Eleanor & Park and start reading it, again. I can honestly say you are my all time favourite author! The way you write is just perfection! I think Eleanor & Park should definitely become a movie because then it would automatically become my all time favourite movie for sure! I entered the contest to see if I could possibly win a copy of Landline signed by you and I hope I do because I know it will be great just as all of your other books.
I have two questions to ask and I would love to be able to hear your answer:
- what/who is your ultimate inspiration for all that you've written?
- what happens with Eleanor and with Park? do they ever meet again? what were those three little words that she responded with?
okay sorry that was actually four hah!
much love and very thankful- victoria :-)

P.S. Landline comes out on my birthday!

I'm a from Spain and I've read your book Eleanor and Park and I've just loved it, I'm a really big fan! :)
What made you decided to write or to become a writer? It was something that you'd always dreamed o or it just happened? Any advice for young writers?
Thanks!!!

I love your books (fangirl is my secretly favorite), so my quetsion is: Who is your inspiration and how do you find your idea's for your books?

Sorry about that. Here's my question: Both Elanor and Park and Fangirl felt as if they had abrupt endings. Is it done purposely? As if to say that the characters wanted privacy after the ending?

My question is, what first book got you into reading when you were younger?, and what inspired you to become a writer :))))
Which genre, YA or adult, is more interesting to write about? Can't waut yo read Landline!!

P.S I can't wait to read landline and I need to get my hands on a copy of attachments they both sound so amazing !!

Mmm my question is... How did you start to write books and why?
I've read your books and I love them all! Looking forward to read the next one :)

I've read Fangirl and it is definitely one of my favourite books of all time. I really need to get my paws on Eleanor and Park, Attachments (and Landline when it comes out :))
I was wondering, which character of yours do you relate to the most?
Thanks :D

First of all, I am desperately trying to get my hands on a copy of Landline because the synopsis seems interesting, and because I pretty much devoured all of your other books.
My question for you is:
How do you possibly fit all of your pop culture references in your books? Do they just come out as you're writing or do you know what references you want to use before you write?
I love reading them because of all of the references. Reading your stories reminds me so much of watching my favorite TV show, Gilmore Girls, so thank you for that. :)

I absolutely just love you and the way you write, you make the book come to life in just how amazing you describe everything. Eleanor & Park is my all time favourite of course! I've r..."
I would definitely remind you of the Fault In Our Stars in that books belong to their reader, you get to decide what happened

I just bought that, I'm reading Legend but Fangirl is next

I've just finished reading 'Eleanor & Park' the other day and am currently enjoying reading through 'Fangirl'. One thing that struck me and I loved a lot in E&P was the use of music and comics between the two characters that helped their friendship and relationship grow. Were these shared interests something that you yourself are passionate about? -- other than writing of course!
Also, as a little fun question, if you were to make a mix tape for someone who doesn't listen to much music yourself like Park did for Eleanor, what three songs would you absolutely include on the tape?
Very excited to see that you have another book coming out soon, and I'll definitely be checking it out in the future! :)

My question (one that I hope hasn't been asked too many times here) is this: Is there a chance that we will, perhaps, ever see any more of the World of Mages?
Thanks again!

As a writer, I'm interested to know: How long does it take you to complete a novel? What's your writing process like? Do you have a goal for each day?

I was wondering, with Dreamworks buying the movie right for Eleanor and Park, how do you feel about it and how much you hope or expect to be involved in the script or on choosing the actors to play such an awesome characters? do you have anyone in mind?
Thanks So Much!!

what has surprised you the most about becoming a famous author?

I'm a new fan of you Rainbow! I have just finished reading your book fangirl AND OMG I LOVED IT *fangirling*. When I read it I could literally point out a person for each character in the book. But the character that I related the the most with was was Levi (his personality). What character is more like you, what character do you identifie the most with?
I am such a huge fan of your writing. The first ever book of yours that i have ever read was Eleanor and Park. Fangirl is by far the most relatable book. i've ever read! I am a young writer and you are one of my inspirations. I was wondering, which authors do you look up to whilst writing a book! <3
