That's about right. There's also, as you know, an advertisements section where you can post about your book as well.
Do you have a suggestion for doing things differently?

The Goodreads recommendations generator works that way, Lance, but on the site level. We can't do that in the group, obviously.
First, we are now featuring topic threads with headings for different kinds of mysteries, crime fiction and thrillers. For example, if your book is a cozy mystery, you should post about it under the Cozy Mystery topic thread. If it's a supernatural/paranormal thriller, post about it under that topic heading. And so on. If you post here, you must be or become a member of the Mystery, Crime and Thriller Group. This space is only appropriate for introducing and talking about your book, NOT for advertising your book, since we already have a thread for that here.
You should decide which category best fits your book(s) and post only in that category. If you discover that I've left out a category that should be included, definitely feel free to let me know and I'll add it. Authors posting outside of the appropriate topic thread will be kindly asked to move their posts.
Second: We now have a thread where authors can ask for review/feedback requests from members of the group.
Third: We also have a thread for upcoming author events, such as book readings, signings, etc.
And finally, we've created a space in which you can offer giveaways of your book(s).
This is your space. Please help us out and keep this orderly -- it's only to your advantage as an author to help keep things organized. Thanks!
