Today I mostly wrote ... the word count thread.

For deffo, my record so far is 70k in the wrong direction. Although I have only done a tangent of about 900 words in this book and I think I will be able to use a fair few. Sometimes, with the really big books, I just have to write it to see what it looks like and if it doesn't work, it gets binned.

I should write them in word instead of in email cuz if I ever send them....

Or it might go on somebody else's blog perhaps?

As for words written/words in the final product, I'm pretty sure I'm over a ration of 10.
I can't store anything in my brain and expect to find it again, so I write every thought down - then scan through the files to locate the pieces that belong in the finished product.
It makes for huge Scrivener files (which Scrivener handles flawlessly).
But you guys are amateurs at tossing stuff.

Or it might go on somebody else's blog perhaps?"
You offering? Spots available in the New Year! I can offer you readers in Russia and Ukraine!

I do that with forum posts!

I may even have spelt one of them correctly.
Which is a shame, because correctly wasn't the word I wanted to write.

Most I've ever scrapped from a single book was 30,000 words. Still turned out to be a 100K novel!

I will be now. ;-) My final total is 17,159.

Excellent. Well done.

I do that the whole time! Tell a story on the morning thread and turn it into a blog post. I've one sitting there now which I didn't post (too long).

Good going! Mine's a novella, too. They're kind of easier to get your head round aren't they? Mine's going much faster than my novels usually do.

Cheers doll!

Of course he is!
Hahahahahahahahahahaha!

Classic. I should get one for driving in. My TIE advanced X1, obviously.

Later, I remarked that a rash McMini has looks better and that I was glad as I'd been worried it would get infected and full of pus.
'Oh,' he says, disappointed, 'That's a pity, I'd like to see pus. It's just dead white blood cells after all.'
Where do I go with that?
He is gloriously eccentric and such a gentle soul.

Yeh, if I wrote one like that, folks would tell me he was too stereotypical!

Kath, nice going.
I snatched a forbidden moment to write 1,255 words when I was supposed to be sending a mail shot, sorting out a health kerfuffle for my dad and wrapping presents - I did wrap a few though and did sort dad. And I think I should be able to sort out the mail shot tonight. It only has to go sometime today.
Nothing likely tomorrow or thursday as I'll be at the old dears, as usual, followed by staying over and taking them to a funeral on Thursday and then haring back for school pick up. oh balls, I haven't packed either!
