After a somewhat hearty lunch or whatever meal time it was, Rowan and Raelynn headed back to their dorms. He still had a little bit of time before he had to go sign out of the hospital wing, so he figured he'd walk her back.

"Does it not hurt anymore?" She asked, turning her head to look at him as they walked. She didn't usually care for the wellbeing of anyone- certainly not herself- but for some reason... she wanted to know that he was fine. Which was pathetic, really, but there was no one around that could judge her for it.

"No, not at all," he said, rolling the shoulder again just to make sure. But there was no pain at all, which he expected. It had been enough time. "Perks of being a vampire, quick healing so I can go out and get hurt again!"

Raelynn let out a laugh, bumping her shoulder against his since it was apparently fine now. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you're a masochist... unless you are."

"That sounds like such a nasty word," he replied, somewhat amused "There's got to be something that fits better. Like.....I don't know. It's not like I like getting hurt. I just like a lot of things that end up with me getting hurt.

"Ah, an adrenaline junkie." She replied, chuckling a little. "No need to justify your likes to me, Rowan. I like you just the way you are."

"Adrenaline junkie, that's definitely me," he agreed with a little laugh. "Well I'm glad someone likes it, because I think it makes my family want to pull out their hair."

"It makes you a fascinating person." She told him, laughing a little as well. "I'm bound never to grow bored when I'm around you."

"Good, because boredom is my nemesis," he told her jokingly. "The last thing I want to do is make anyone bored with me, especially myself."

"That's good to hear, then- seing as we'll be seing each other so much. Because of my promised immortal beauty, of course." She said teasingly, since that was what they had agreed on.

"Ah yes, then you definitely can't get sick of me. Nor I of you, for that matter," he said, laughing a little. "Which just means you need to start learning how to handle injury.'

"Why would I learn to handle an injury if I can just learn to keep myself from getting injured in the first place?" She asked, laughing because he was just so funny.

"Because it's all trial and error!" He told her. "How are you supposed to know what not to do unless you do it first?"

"Maybe I'm just someone that never messes up." She replied, chuckling a little. "You're not the only adrenaline junky, you know. You're just the only one that ever gets injured."

He scoffed, which swiftly turned into a real laugh. "I am not the only adrenaline junky who gets injured. I just might be the only one in this room."

"Right. But I'm pretty sure we just established you're somewhat of a masochist." She said, laughing as she bumped her shoulder to his again. Was she flirting? Definitely. But she wasn't even sure he noticed, so...

"Maybe I just like getting nursed back to health," he joked, somehow forgetting that her identical twin worked in the hospital wing too. Not that he wouldn't have said it if he had remembered. Because in all honesty he hated having to be in that place.

"Oh, I bet." She said, chuckling because she somehow pictured Everleigh blushing if she ever helped him. "More so when it is an attractive nurse, right?"

"Absolutely. An ugly nurse does not make the road to recovery very pleasant," he joked, laughing again. "Luckily I haven't really seen one here."

"Really?" She asked, smirking slightly. 'Because I happen to think there is a very attractive one there. Breathtaking, really."

Rowan pretended to think hard about it, even after he recalled the one nurse he knew she was talking about. "Breathtaking, you say? I haven't seen one of those yet."

"I didn't hit my head at all, so that can't be it," he said teasingly and shook his head. "But I do faintly recall a redhead nurse who bore a striking resemblance to you."

"Oh, how you wound me. Am I not attractive enough for you to put me into that very accurate category?" She asked, putting a hand on her chest innocently.

"What category? Attractive nurse? I don't think you fit in that category for the simple fact that you're not, you know, a nurse?" he asked, looking amused. He didn't even realize how close she'd gotten to him by this point.

"No, but my sister is." She replied, slightly amused. "You know, my identical twin sister Everleigh."

"Right, right," he said, acting like he'd forgotten. "Well I guess in that case...you could pass as an attractive nurse," he teased.

"Hm... not yet breathtaking?" She asked, turning so that she was in front of him.

He pretended to consider it and then took a thoughtful breath. "Nope, still breathing," he said, hiding the beginning of a smirk.

Raelynn pretended to consider it before she grinned. "I bet that if I hit hard enough, I can change that statement."

"You wouldn't do that to a man who just recovered, would you?" Rowan asked, pretending to look hurt.

"You're technically still a boy." She replied, grinning even more. "And you like healing, remember?"

"I'm eighteen!" He protested, though...wasn't he still a few months shy? She didn't have to know that. "I'd prefer not to get broken in the first place, unless it's unavoidable."

"Well, this can easily be avoided." She replied, ignoring the fact that they were basically at her dorm room.

"Well I already said the thing so at this point it might not be," he pointed out. He leaned against the wall since they were where they needed to be, figuring he could at least finish the conversation.

"You havent said I'm breathtaking." She replied, scoffing as she crossed her arms. "But I'll give you a pass... because you still don't know any better."

"Maybe you not just need to go a harrowing quest to prove that I have to say that" he teased. He didn't comment on not knowing better since he wasn't really sure what she meant.

"Maybe." She replied, laughing a little before she looked at the time. "I have to get ready, so... see you later." She said, leaning over to kiss his cheek because... well, she quite frankly did not know his girlfriend so she didn't really owe her anything.

Rowan was too surprised about her kissing his cheek to do anything about it. And he knew he should say something about it, but he didn't. Next time, he figured, rather than end on an awkward note. "Yeah, later."

Raelynn gave him one last grin before she went into her dorm room, quickly changing into something more party worthy.
