Shelley | 1225 comments Another new 3 part mini-series will air on Wednesdays starting December 7th. "In Plain Sight" is about Peter Manuel, a serial killer in UK with the murders occurring 1956 to 1958.

This looks good Shelley. I will put it on my wish list. I have a really good book for you to read. WICKED BEYOND BELIEF by Michael Bilton. It was riveting. It took place in the UK as well.

Shelley | 1225 comments Oh yeah, the one about the Yorkshire Ripper. Thanks, Rita. It's on my 'to read' list.

Shelley, I am one of these people that would rather read the book then watch a movie as it is never the same. Who is the author that wrote In Plain Sight?

Lee | 130 comments I don't think there is a book called In Plain Sight but author Allan Nichol is a consultant on the series,he wrote -
Manuel: Scotland's First Serial Killer
Manuel Scotland's First Serial Killer by Allan Nicol

I dug deep while researching for my book about Peter Manuel. There is stuff in there that is not widely known. He had no conscience. He killed anyone for any reason whenever he felt like it. In one incident, after killing a family he stayed in their home for over a week eating their food and sleeping in their beds. He left and stole their car in the process...a truly disgusting and vile human.

Thanks so much Lee. I have not read this one and in my Canadian account it is pretty pricey. I will wait for a paperback or the hardcover when the price comes down. Looking forward to reading it Lee. Thanks again.

I have your book on my TBR list. I think I will read it before watching the mini-series. :)

Hey Shelley, I hope you enjoy it. It's not long, but it's full of interesting information about the case. I don't particularly enjoy writing about serial killers, but I try to give their victims a voice. I also donate proceeds to victims of violent crimes. Take care.

How did you like the book and most of all how did you find it? I will read the one that Lee posted. It looks fascinating.

Shelley | 1225 comments There are time when I worry about myself. lol I am reading C. L. Swinney's book on the wrong Peter before watching this mini-series. I am reading the one about Peter Kurten Monster: The True Story of Serial Killer Peter Kurten.

Silly me. I will finish it and then go on to The Beast of Birkenshaw: The True Story of Serial Killer Peter Manuel. I like reading about a subject before watching a show on it.
