A Bride's Story, Vol. 8 by Kaoru Mori. This is an historical manga set mostly in the Central Asian steppes, featuring characters wanting to marry and their relationships. Relatively episodic, though there's a light continuing arc. My wife and I really enjoy this series, and the art is pretty great.Shadow of Victory by David Weber. The latest Honorverse novel, this is probably semi-disappointing since it felt like Jordan's Wheel of Time's Crossroads of Twilight in terms of what it added to the narrative--the timeline isn't advanced, and we see a lot of the same events from different characters or parties, and it felt a little frustrating how the whole Solarian/Mesan storyline wasn't really advanced. Sigh. Oh well, I'm never NOT going to read this series. :-)

Thanks Rick, I didn't even know that existed.
Oy, I got hit by the reading slump hard this month. Ended up getting a cold. So hard to feel like reading when your sinuses want to combust. Then some holiday busyness, when I just didn't have the time or energy to read. Took me almost the month to get through The Rook (actually finished it yesterday). I enjoyed it, though.Today, I started Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell. Hopefully it won't take me two months to read it, lol.
Just finished Lords of the North in preparation for season 2 of 'The Lost Kingdom' on BBC.By coincidence this was my 81st book of the year, exactly the same number as last year! But, excluding audio books, my page count was up by just over 2,000 pages over 2015 so technically I must have been reading more:)

Thanks, Rick!
It's a great epilogue. I prefer it to the ambiguity, but I can see why Banks got rid of it. He was never one for happy endings.
