I downloaded An Accidental Death as a freebie about a couple of years go. I'am only sorry it took me so long to read this.

DS Smith is certainly an interesting character, I think this series should be promising.

Smith rather reminds of Lieutenant Columbo, a shabby character who you try to fool at your peril. I look.forward to finding out why he was demoted from DCI and his time in the army.

I liked Smith so much I have downloaded books 2 and 3 which I will read in the new year.

OK...with the excuses of too much work this time of year, and too much to do for the holidays, I had put this off. But reading your comments, Clare, I have started this book just now. I think the housework will suffer today - it is gloomy and rainy and the perfect excuses to sit with my nose in a book.

I really enjoyed this and am reading Book 2

I enjoyed this book more so than the second in the series. I like the main character. He is totally believable!
