"That doesn't really answer my question," Enna replied. She had asked what it was not what it wasn't.

Tahlia opened the bag up and looked inside.

"Oh, I just cook whatever comes to me. I hardly keep track. Which is why I can't work in a restaurant with a menu," Slonina said.

"It'll still taste good," Soren said. He opened the box and inside was a container with some sesame style chicken and fried rice.

Enna wasn't sure, but questioning further would make no difference, so she just began to eat. It tasted fine, she supposed, but she knew it didn't taste bad either.

Tahlia's was almost the same, with steak instead and Enna's had fish.
"So after this, are you all going to leave?" Slonina asked.

Enna tasted it and made a face...as much of a face as she could. It was pure annoyance. She'd asked for no fish and ended up with fish anyway. After a little while, she covered up the box again. Even if she didn't dislike it, it was the same boring texture as always. "I suppose," she answered. "I haven't decided."

Tahlia looked at the time. "It's about closing time so you guys can do whatever until then."

"I suppose I ought to move on," Enna said. "Attempt to see other people before returning to the lake for the night."

She just nodded. She remembered that Tahlia had said something earlier about Soren but the details escaped her. However she felt they were relevant to this.

Tahlia raised her eyebrows.
"Are you going to go to the school?"

"I haven't decided," Enna answered. The likelihood was slim, but if she was already out, she may as well pay everyone a visit.

"How do you get on school property," Slonina asked curiously. "In order to talk to the headmistress, i had to get a pass from the town rep that let me go through the boundary."

"I offered to assist with the finding and fixing of the lake on their campus in the hopes that I would get fewer unwanted visitors," Enna said. "I've cleared all the security and whatnot so I can go when I want."

"Or you just sneak in like I do," Soren said. "I'm not a threat so it doesn't keep me out."
He paused. "What are you going to the school for?"

"No, I cross legitimately. Now." She hadn't always had the proper permission, but it was insisted upon when they asked her to help with the lake. "I already said I haven't decided if I'm going to the school. But I know people there."

Enna raised an eyebrow at her. "What does that mean?" She asked, the implications escaping her. However, she knew there were some because no one made that face for no reason.

Soren stepped on Tahlia's foot under the table and she bared her teeth at him.
"Nothing," she said. "Nevermind."

Enna looked between them both, but didn't question it. "I think I ought to get going then."

"Alright, you didn't eat much. Do you want mine?" Tahlia offered.

"No, it's alright," Enna answered. "I'll get something else if I'm hungry again."

"Yeah, thanks," Tahlia said. "If it snows again you could come here. You know where the spare key is."

"Thank you," Enna said with a nod. She did despise the snow immensely and couldn't sleep by her tree then. With a wave of her hand, she started to head out, assuming the conversation was over.

Slonina chose that as her time to go as well. Soren ate the rest of his food, all while looking at Tahlia felt his gaze.
"What? Seriously."
He swallowed his mouthful.
"I just feel like I'm always left out. Last to know for anything, you know."

Tahlia chewed on her lip, feeling bad.
"I don't think it's intentional. Really."

Soren rolled up his trash in the bag then got a message.
"I should get going. I have two more packages to deliver then Slonina wants me to go see Naomi with her. Joy." His tone was rather flat.

Tahlia nodded. "Alright, well have fun. For real. And maybe take a break from the dreams?"

Soren paused then nodded slowly. "Maybe."
He headed out the door.

Brandon wandered into the bookstore, looking for something specific, though he knew he would end up finding more than he wanted. That was how it always when when he went to bookstores. Today would be no different.

Diana was browsing through some books already, chewing on her gum and listening to some music as she did. She was supposed to have looked for John before doing anything- like getting out of school, but he was mad if he thought she'd actually do what he told her to. She was the Diana Hastings- and so she didn't listen to anyone.
Besides, she still had to look for her brother, and she was pretty sure she wouldn't be finding him in the school. Not to mention, John wouldn't want her to intervene with her brothers life, as they didn't even know if he'd want to "Bond" with them.

Brandon wandered through the stacks and almost went down an aisle, but discovered there was a girl already there so he turned around to go look somewhere else. No offense to her, but he was incredibly socially awkward and didn't want to even be around her.

Diana look up when she saw some movement, narrowing her eyes as she leaned foward to look at the person leaving. She raised an eyebrow, pulling off an earphone. "Were you looking for something?"

Brandon froze when he was addressed. He could only assume she was addressing him because there was literally no one else in there. "U-um....yes, but I've got it."

"Do you?" She asked, looking at his hands and noticing he didn't have anything.

Diana looked around, tilting her head to the side. "What is it about?" She asked, since knowing the genre usually helped.

"U-um....string theory," Brandon repeated, since he supposed his voice had gotten too quiet the last time.

"Oh, so its... scientific." She replied, looking back at him for a moment.

"Well, yes," he said. Scientific was the most basic explanation so he didn't correct him.

Diana nodded before going over to where she had seen a bunch of nerd-books, tilting her head to the side and reaching up to get a book that had the same title.

Brandon stayed put where he was since she'd just...walked away. Had she been expecting him to follow? Did she dislike him? Her actions were overall confusing...so he just didn't do anything.

Diana raised an eyebrow, sighing before she went over to him. "Is it this one?" She asked, handing it to him. There was dozens of other books with that title, after all.
