"Why would I sell my collection," Tahlia said. "Then anyone could have this kind of information."
At this point someone already had the book.
At this point someone already had the book.

She shook her head.
There was the faintest memory of handing it to someone but she couldn't remember a face.
"I...uh... can give you a different one..." she said.

"I might take you up on that offer. But I think I can make a call first," Tahlia said, thinking of Soren and his family.
She went over to the shelf where the book should have been and picked up another.
This one was still rather thick. It was slightly worn, as it was when she had procured it. "This one should have what you're looking for. It's just missing things like Doppelgängers and Necromancy or anything involving opening the gates to hell.
"Not that you'd have use for any of those things, right?" Tahlia asked, holding the book back.

With a golden pen, she wrote out the title of the book and the date.
"Sign your life away," she said, handing him the pen.
"Sign your life away," she said, handing him the pen.
The ink flashed a golden color before fading back to black.
"You're all set. You can keep it as long as you like," she said, moving towards the door.

"I already told you. I signed it out but I don't remember doing it. Or I do but it's fuzzy. I can't remember who I gave it to. A woman maybe? I don't know."

"I have an idea but I can handle it on my own. If I need you then I suppose I could call," Tahlia said.
"Do you have a number other than the one on the school directory?" Tahlia asked him.
She walked out and waited for him to leave the room before knocking on the molding of the doorway.
They handleless door appeared solidly once again.

((a flat no. lol but thats only because she is hung up on her dead lover. it might make her laugh or blush slightly. if you want a funny reaction go for it.))

Constantine straightened his jacket before heading to the door, but paused before he actually got out. "Oh, one more thing."

"As if," she replied with a smirk. Tahlia shook her head at him, sure that her cheeks were turning scarlet as he left.
He was something else.
He was something else.
((Freya. Though the reason she would go to such lengths to hide it is still a bit hazy on the details part))

Tahlia was surrounded by piles of books. She was opening to the table of contents or the index before flipping to a particular page. Her eyes would read over the words quickly before she shut the book and moved onto the next one.
She had to have a boo that would explain what was going on with Damon. She had seen him.
In her room.
And he was there, but not there. There had to be a way. And she intended to find it in one of these books.

There was a knock on the door a few times, and finally a woman with a bow in her hair walked in shyly, pressing her hands to her chest. "Oh, I'm sorry, I guess it's a bad time to come in, huh?" Madison blushed a bit. "I'm sorry, I'll just come back tomorrow," She started to head for the door.
Tahlia looked up at her, realizing that the woman had knocked. It was strange, but got her attention.
"I'm just... working. But that's the point. What can I help you with?" She asked, standing up.

"Sorry, it's just..." Madison apologized. "It'll be quick and then I'll be out of your way. Do you have any cookbooks? Or....anything on different species found here in Val'JaLon?" She asked that second question quieter.
Tahlia thought the two books were an odd thing to look for together. "Are you planning on cooking them?" she asked with a small laugh.
She got up and gestured for the woman to follow her.

"No!" She gasped. "It's just...I've had a lot of freetime on my hands so I wanted to try out some stuff that interests me," She followed after her. "I want to learn more recipes and I want to learn more about native species here,"
"It was comical to think, though," Tahlia pointed out. "Then it's a good thing to come here. I wish more people read on their free time."
They came to a spot that had a little cake sign made out of metal hanging from the shelf. "These are the cook books. You may check them out or purchase the ones that are marked."

"I recommend picking two or three, or getting one with variety to start," Tahlia told her, being professional and business like.
