Gorab (itsgorab) | 3110 comments This is a book which needs no introduction!

However if you haven't come across this before :
To Kill a Mockingbird is a novel by Harper Lee published in 1960. It was immediately successful, winning the Pulitzer Prize, and has become a classic of modern American literature. The plot and characters are loosely based on the author's observations of her family and neighbors, as well as on an event that occurred near her hometown in 1936, when she was 10 years old.

Pooja Math | 22 comments It is too good. I have read this recently :)

Gorab (itsgorab) | 3110 comments I see except Ann and Martin, all others have this book in their read shelf. You can also mention the number of times you've read/reading this.

Had read this last year, but the image of Finch as an ideal father is still fresh in my heart... and will remain so!

martin eden p.220: Harper Lee is amazing! To choose an 8 year old girl narrator to tell this story is just perfect. And the characters are so well rooted!

Indrani Sen (iniya_books) I think I have read twice.. I read very very few books more than once.. A lovely lovely book...

martin eden I've just finished it. It is a great story and I want to read To Set a Watchman now! I will write a review tomorrow, need time to gather my thoughts.

Gorab (itsgorab) | 3110 comments Good to know you liked it too :)
TSAWatchman is in my to-be-read list, and will read it someday without expectations.

Ambady (ambadyjs13) | 6 comments This was such an amazing book; so good that I have an irrational fear for reading GSAW. :|

Bandita (breathingbooks_95) | 2 comments This is my favorite book of all time! I read it on December'15 and have read it thrice since then. It's an amazing book. Pure classic. You MUST read this book at least once in your lifetime!

Sundara Gandhi (bookaholictalks) | 553 comments I don't have much affinity for classics generally. But I loved this book. A simplistic setting. Beautiful and rich narration. Intensely delivered message.
Not a fan of classics, such a review coming from me speaks volumes about this great novel. Do read it of you haven't. I flew through this book I two days! I have great admiration of Atticus as a character and Scout's mind is so adorable many at times <3

Gorab (itsgorab) | 3110 comments I share the same feelings regarding classics and this book S :)

Sundara Gandhi (bookaholictalks) | 553 comments Happy new year readers!!!:D
