Frances Hoelsema (frances_hoelsema) | 3 comments Would you be interested in reviewing one of my three (or all) novels? I have three in what I call my Neighbors series, but all are standalone. The first, Growing Up Neighbors, is a coming of age, young adult, sweet love story. The other two, Next Door Neighbors and Long Lost Neighbors, are both clean, contemporary romances. All three are in KU for Free, but I can also supply a PDF if you'd be interested. Let me know! Thanks!

Hi Sarah,

Karma (Silke Butters, #1) by Cynthia Vespia
My new superhero/urban fantasy Karma is now available for presale on Amazon: http://tinyurl.com/kcpvtxa
I have an ARC copy available for review.
Please visit www.cynthiavespia.com/karma or PM me directly. I can currently provide a PDF or MOBI

Synopsis:
A mask, a makeup brush, and amazing powers. It’s all in a days work for supermodel turned superhero, Karma.
Silke Butters lived within the glitz and glamour of the modeling world, until the day that world was turned upside down. Suddenly embodied with superpowers, she finds herself thrust into a world of heroes and villains, each enhanced with powers of their own. As Silke’s powers begin to grow she finds herself caught in the middle of a tug-of-war between both a subdivision of the U.S. government known as Shadow Company, and a ruthless terrorist organization known as The Sin Squad. Both entities want the “enhanced” for their respective teams with Silke as the main prize. To disguise her famous face, and protect those that she loves, Silke invents an alter ego. Karma is born of necessity to decide the fate of those who are ill-intentioned and empower others with hope. With the help of her former flame Joe Riggs, and her computer hacker friend Maki, Silke develops a heroes call-to-action to battle the dark force that threatens to annihilate humanity. Karma, the 1st in a 5 part series, blends the over-the-top punch of popular comic book stories, with the literary nuance of an urban fantasy novel. A genre-blending roller coaster ride, Karma will delight both superhero fans and fantasy readers alike.

Here is the blurb:
When Sophie Bennett moves from a quiet, sleepy suburb of Toronto to glitzy west London, she doesn't know where she has landed: Venus or Mars. Her three-year-old daughter Kaya attends Cherry Blossoms, the most exclusive nursery in London, where Sophie finds herself adrift in a sea of Alpha mums.. These mothers are glamorous, gorgeous, competitive and super rich, especially Kelly, the blonde, beautiful and bitchy class rep.
Struggling to fit in and feeling increasingly isolated, Sophie starts The Beta Mum, an anonymous blog describing her struggles with the Alpha mums. But when her blog goes viral, she risks ruining everything for herself and her daughter. How long will it be until they discover her true identity? Bob Collopy (bobcollopy) | 14 comments Hi Sarah! I’d like to give you the chance to read an ARC of my book, The Phoenix Cycle.

It’s a dystopian postapocalyptic where New San Francisco is the only known city left on the planet that is still surviving the nightly ash storms. They survived by putting the American dream on steroids and have become ruthless in the process. You can get a taste of this new and warped world by watching the official book trailer below:

https://youtu.be/JVm1R6nUVjE

(This trailer was featured in a multinational event where over 100 Indie theaters screened the 1984 movie on April 4th to protest George Orwell’s realization of “Alternative Facts,” in the government.)

You will get a few other unique elements with this story:

-Every main character is secretly based on a philosopher or philosophy, but it still reads like a fictional book. So it becomes a bloody revolution of ideas. A chapter of the book has been used by the philosophical departments of Universities in Britain.

-Includes a timely prediction of what could happen if virtual reality became a form of subsidized housing by the government in order keep people complacent and housed in a more cost effective manner.

Some Beta Love:

“the book was actually really good.” - #17 Best Reviewer on Goodreads
“(The) world-building is awesome” - Hillary M.
“I think it has great potential.” -Marcus
________________________________________

I’d really appreciate an honest review on Goodreads or Amazon for my June 23rd book launch.

I can send you an ARC electronically by May or possibly smuggle one to your home. Just let me know!

Íeda Herman | 5 comments Hello Sarah, I would you be interested in a YA historical fiction? "Viking Kids Don't Cry" is a fictional account of my years growing up in Iceland (1935). I spent my winters in Reykjavik but my summers at my Grandpa's farm in Vopnafjordur with the horses and sheep, and quite a few adolescent escapades. My children have told me they think it's like an international version of "Little House on the Prairie".

If this sounds as if it might interest you, I'd love to hear from you. I can provide paperback or a variety of eBook formats.

Thank you so much for this offer!

I hope it's not too late. I have a paranormal romance short story, Masquerade, that I believe you might find enjoyable.

Blurb:Long ago, there was a witch who brought the aristocracy to its knees. Blood sacrifices, massacres, and slavery flourished under her reign. However, a fearless hero rallied the nobles and defeated the witch, bringing about an era of peace. Even to this day, he is loved by all.

Rose is a young woman attending a party to celebrate the anniversary of when the aristocracy was liberated from the witch's control. Nikolai is the hero that everyone adores. But even so, a dark obsession lingers between the two of them, all in the form of a bloody kiss that'd happened so many years ago.

Russell Gibbs | 22 comments The Principle of Oneness A Practical Guide to Experiencing the Profound Unity of Everything by Russell Anthony Gibbs Russell Anthony Gibbs

I am seeking reviews for my new spiritual self-help book The Principle of Oneness.

All ready an Amazon bestseller, The Principle of Oneness is a concise 14,000 word spiritual self-help book. If you would like to review this book please email me at russellagibbs@msn.com with your format preference. (mobi, epub or paperback)

The Principle of Oneness synopsis:

The Principle of Oneness expounds on the first principle from the award winning and bestselling book, The Six Principles of Enlightenment and Meaning of Life and is the second in this series of eight books on enlightenment.

Many have said "We are all one" but what does that really mean? This practical guide helps you understand and experience the profound unity of everyone and everything. Author Russell Anthony Gibbs explains the science behind the connections of everything both physical matter and nonphysical energy. Gibbs supports his points with quotes from scientists, enlightened beings, spiritual leaders, philosophers and others. Great minds like Albert Einstein, Buddha, Aristotle, Rumi and Jesus all understood the profound Oneness of the Universe. Gibbs further clarifies some of the misconception about the Universe/God as well as explains how to live and experience the Principle of Oneness.

Award winning and bestselling author Russell Anthony Gibbs is a philosopher and spiritual seeker on a quest for enlightenment. His research into Baha'ism, Buddhism, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, Sufism and Taoism greatly influences his spiritual and philosophical perspective. He is also profoundly influenced by the information from two channeled entities, Seth and Abraham. He further incorporates quantum mechanics, physics and psychology as well as concepts from the works of Albert Einstein, Carl Jung, Sigmund Freud and Stephen Hawking. Gibbs's communication style is concise, intense and deep. He would rather express wisdom in brief, powerful quotes and concise paragraphs than in complicated, long-winded explanations. Espresso Wisdom is short, strong, rich insight. Like espresso coffee, it gives an intense jolt of enlightenment. Enlightenment is an awakening, and Espresso Wisdom is meant to help jumpstart you on your journey. Espresso Wisdom Short, Strong, Rich Insight! ™

It details the hard-data-based reasons why carbon dioxide doesn't qualify as a greenhouse gas. Rajat Mitra | 5 comments Hi I am Rajat Mitra and an author of the book called 'The infidel next door'. If stories of bildungsroman, coming of age stories interest you then you may find my book interesting. My book is around characters who are Hindu and Muslim children growing up to adulthood in a temple and a mosque existing side by side in Kashmir and one that unleashes powerful forces beyond their control that shapes who they become. When a movement trying to establish an Islamic Kashmir by throwing out the Hindus begins in Kashmir, fanaticism and mass violence starts to take over their land and leads them to confront their inner selves for answers not available in their religious texts.

I am a debutante author and would like my book to be reviewed. The book is based on my years of experience of working in communities facing exile, mass violence and trauma.

The book is available on amazon.com and all other portals of amazon both as paperback and kindle version.

Synopsis of the book

The Infidel Next Door is a saga of the undying spirit of a man while facing loss and betrayal in the name of religious persecution. It is set in the period before the seventh and last exodus of Hindus from Kashmir in 1989.
When Aditya, a Hindu priest, is asked to go back to a temple in Kashmir where his ancestor was killed for refusing to convert to Islam, he decides he must go. Though the attacks - both on his family and on the temple - occurred three centuries ago, the wounds are yet to heal.
When he arrives, he discovers a mosque has been built next door where Anwar, the imam’s son, is becoming a fanatic to escape memories of a humiliation.
As seen through their eyes, the novel describes the anguish and terror when Anwar slowly begins to see his relationship to God as the only true one and gives in to the demand of his mentor to throw out hundreds of thousands of Hindus to create a Kashmir without infidels.
A story so steeped in haunting imagery of a once beautiful land and its forgotten people, it brings to fore one of the deepest fear of our times that when a man gets caught up in a struggle over religious fundamentalism, does his conscience still remain a force to decide his ultimate choice?

It's about my father who was a CIA officer, and the Soviet double agent he handled (highest-ranking, longest-serving asset we had during the Cold War). It's also a double memoir about our two families growing up unknowingly as children of spies on opposite sides of the Iron Curtain. It was awarded a Kirkus Star (given to only 10% of reviews) and was just selected as a Wall Street Journal June Book of the Month. Love this group. Will do some review/giveaways.

Laura Pritchard | 8 comments Hi there!

My name is Laura Pritchard and my first book, Monarchy, has just been published on amazon. I would love a review if that is possible? My book is a science fiction, dystopia setting, with a young adult/adult.

Monarchy

Length: 184 pages

Synopsis:

In the times after the reformation, the leaders of the new world have created the perfect society. There is no exaggerated wealth or famishing poverty. There is no starvation or crime or disease. The citizens of the sectors are secure and well nourished, forever protected by the life the Monarchy have so gracefully afforded.

No one mentions the things that are lacking. Constance thinks about it often.

At the age of sixteen, Constance is snatched from her family in a twisted ceremony called 'Removal.' Forced to reside in the Citadel, the fortress of the Monarchy, she faces a brutal induction to evolve into a soldier of the Brigade; sworn peace keepers of the sectors. While she grapples with the feeling of revolution that rage in her mind, Constance is trained by Calloway, the guard with an elusive past who shadows her every move.

Remaining peaceful, however, is the last thing on the minds of the inhabitants of sector six. Uprisings and rebellions are common place with her own kinsfolk being injured and killed as a consequence. When the time comes, Constance must decide which side she will choose in a battle that will determine her future. It is a choice that she should never have to face; weighing her own life against the lives of those that she loves.

This is my first novel so am a bit new to the field but would love some honest critique. If you need any more information and would like a free copy, please feel free to email me on laura_jayne_15@hotmail.com

Many thanks,

Laura.

Stuart James (stuartjames73) Hi Sarah.
Hope you are well.
I would love an honest review of my brand new book, The Mortuary.
It tells the story of Steve Reynolds and his best friend and work colleague, Heather, who live in Abberely, a small English town in the Countryside.
Local townsfolk are dying and when they start receiving emails of pictures after they have died, they fear something is wrong.
Steve receives parcels to his front door late at night and when a stranger asks to meet them in a bar on a cold October night, it all starts going wrong.
It's a scary psychological thriller with a huge twist.
Let me know.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Sarah,
My name is Katherine Dell. Would you be interested in reviewing a my book, Harmless? It's a YA, Paranormal, Thriller. I can offer you an eBook copy for a fair and honest review. I have PDF, Mobi, and epub.

This book was just released about eight weeks ago, and although the reviews have been incredible so far, I don’t want to lose momentum. If you are interested in reviewing you can send a reply to this message or email me at katherine@katherinedell.com

Here’s a little info about the book to peak your interest. HARMLESS, a YA, Paranormal, Thriller, with a dash of Horror and Romance for good measure. It’s the first book in a proposed three book series. The word count is 89K. If you’d like to check out the book trailer, here is a link to it on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ejray...

Back Cover Synopsis for Harmless:

Be careful what you wish for.

After moving from Vancouver to isolated Hazelton, BC, high school senior Rachel Barnes hopes she’ll finally find closure and a sense of direction after tragedy has torn her family apart. When she and her friends discover the old spirit box her grandmother gave her, they see it as a chance to wish their troubles away. But the Great Spirits—deer, crow, bear, and the mythical wendigo—give away nothing for free.

So instead of worrying about fitting in and finding a boyfriend, Rachel finds herself in a race to control the malevolent spirit who’s taken up residence in Mason Allen, who she fears and craves in equal measure. What began as a harmless game forces Rachel to confront her past—and offers her a future she never imagined.

Step into a reality that is not as it seems in Book 1 of the Harmless series.

I hope you'll consider doing a review.

Cheers,
Katherine
