River (riveraria) Thank you! I get that. I've read many of them in theatre and literature classes as well as a few in productions. So, feel free to chat about them at any time!

Tracey (traceyrb) I have only just found this group and joined. I have a 5 year plan to read all the works of Shakespeare. I have studied history more than literature in the past so maybe I can give some help with historical questions. Only ever read Romeo and Juliet before. Looking forward to learning with everyone.

Awesome! Welcome to the group!

Vicki | 4 comments Hi, I'm Vicki and am a Shakespeare groupie. Although I have read all his extant works, I am rereading his plays. And, according to the list, I have a few to catch up on. My mother encouraged me to read all of Shakespeare's works.........before I died! Which I have done. And no, I am not dead. Of course, I later found out that she never said any such thing to my seven siblings. As the Bard wrote, "Knowing I lov'd my books, he furnish'd me From mine own library with volumes that I prize above my dukedom." Look forward to being a part of this group.

Cynda I am so very glad this group is here. I like the less intense pace. A play is easy enough to read. And Shakes has written the best.

I am an old English major. I had a Riverside for years. It developed book mold 😒 At that time, the local used bookstore had Bevingtons. Perhaps the local university was using Bevington. Still looking to replacemy Riverside at a price I can afford.

Imwill be really joining in Janurary after gettingnthrough a time crunch. See you then 🌲

Welcome aboard!

LakesideReader | 1 comments Hi there. I just joined a few days ago.

Thanks for creating this group. Now I have a plan to read all of Shakespeare's works instead of just randomly reading them when I remember.

Just a side note: I wish "Invention of the Human" was available on Kindle. That book is huge!

Pillsonista | 1 comments Hi everyone.

My name is Sara and I seriously regret that I didn’t know about this group months ago. But better late than never, and there’s no such thing as too much Shakespeare. I can’t wait to join in the discussions.

Welcome LakesideReader and Sara! Feel free to catch up or to jump in wherever you like!

Cynda I joined this group becuase I want to read the history plays as a group endeavor. So I will be back to read the 2 history cycles this group does.
I have waded through most of the other plays. It is the histories that I struggle with, so I will be back to support and be supported, both. Thanks.

I tend to like History plays also.

Hi Joseph. Glad you're here. We need more people participating. If you post here, I will see and will be encouraged to read and post. I thinkmthat this the #1 best thing about Goodreads reading groups, readers helping each other along.
I am committed to the history plays this year. This will possibly be my biggest challenge this year.

I'm a bit behind this year... I'm getting married in early April. I'll catch up on the honeymoon!

Joseph (jsaltal) Is Richard II the next play to be read in June 2018?
