I work in a small office where I've seen three couples meet and get married. One couple has since divorced, but they both still work there. I don't think it would be easy, especially if they were antagonistic like the couple in this book.
I just don't think FBI policy would allow this because it can be dangerous, even if they were still married and getting along well as they've got to follow procedure. In a field situation, other agents have to rely on them following protocols and not looking out for their spouse or undermining the ex. I question whether this could happen in real life.
It would be nice if someone had some inside information on the FBI's policy toward couples in the workplace. My only knowledge is TV shows, but I doubt they're very accurate.
