Rachel Walling and her ex-husband work in the same field office. Was that realistic?

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments I work in a small office where I've seen three couples meet and get married. One couple has since divorced, but they both still work there. I don't think it would be easy, especially if they were antagonistic like the couple in this book.

I just don't think FBI policy would allow this because it can be dangerous, even if they were still married and getting along well as they've got to follow procedure. In a field situation, other agents have to rely on them following protocols and not looking out for their spouse or undermining the ex. I question whether this could happen in real life.

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments It would be nice if someone had some inside information on the FBI's policy toward couples in the workplace. My only knowledge is TV shows, but I doubt they're very accurate.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments I know from watching true crime shows that there have been FBI agents who were married, but they did not work in the same unit. So I also question whether it could happen in real life although Rachel's explanation of why neither of them had been transferred made sense.
