I was actually surprised by the way he stole Jack's story. He seemed like such a nice guy who only wanted to help Jack get the story out. I felt bad for him when he lost his job.
I had a suspicion about him, figuring he was itching to get back to reporting. But, I was so disappointed with how he betrayed Jack.
I was really shocked and irritated that he stole Jack's story. It was very selfish and conniving. @Robin - the impression I got was that he quit the job so he could write the story. Did I miss the detail that he was fired for helping Jack? It would put a different spin on it (not much though).
He was fired but set it up so he would be. He left that list by the fax machine so it could be found.
Still scum.
Still scum.
