Hey! First time poster here, desperately trying to remember the name of this book :/ I read it (in hardcover) a few years ago but I don't know when it was published. It's probably aimed at adults. The cover shows a man in a suit with angel wings standing in front of an elevator.
The plot concerns a workaholic angel in the Miracles department of HEAVEN. God, the CEO, finally gets tired of watching sports on Earth and decides to destroy the planet and open a fusion restaurant. The angel and his newfound crush agree to make a miracle happen on Earth before God destroys everything. If they do it, God will spare Earth. The miracle is to get a guy and a girl to kiss, which both have prayed for (hence their wishes ending up in God's inbox). However, this proves to be near impossible despite their 90-something percent suitability rating (they even like different colors of Lifesavers). The angels resort to increasingly strange tactics, such as burning down coffee shops until the humans go to a bar.
I can go into more detail about the plot if that would be helpful-- I remember the book really well but not the title, author, or characters' names. Thanks! :)
