ETA Dec. 5, 2016: I'm going to start tabulating this nomination thread tonight. I've pulled the nominations as of 4:39 p.m. EST. If you edit your existing post after that time, please add a notation that you have done so. "Edited to change my nominations on < [insert date] >." or something along those lines.
**********************************

Below I've identified the 28 prompts (out of the main challenge list) that are not subjective (i.e. on your TBR list for way too long, etc.) From this list, you can nominate the 12 prompts you would like the group to select for our monthly challenge/group read. For you new members, the monthly challenge and group read are voluntary. You may participate one month and not in another. Alternatively, you may participate in the monthly challenge but not the group read and vice versa. We started it this year to help us organize our reading, keep ourselves engaged and prop each other up throughout the year.

Prompts to pick from
1. A book of letters
2. A book by a person of color
3. A book with one of the four seasons in the title
4. A book that is a story within a story
5. A book with multiple authors
6. An espionage thriller
7. A book with a cat on the cover
8. A book by an author who uses a pseudonym
9. A book by or about a person who has a disability
10. A book involving travel
11. A book with a subtitle
12. A book that's published in 2017
13. A book involving a mythical creature
14. A book about food
15. A book from a nonhuman perspective
16. A steampunk novel
17. A book with a red spine
18. A book set in the wilderness
19. A book with a title that's a character's name
20. A novel set during wartime
21. A book with an unreliable narrator
22. A book with pictures
23. A book about an interesting woman
24. A book set in two different time periods
25. A book with a month or day of the week in the title
26. A book set in a hotel

Last year it was a much smaller group and we all basically said, "I like what Miguel wrote." and just went with that.

Ironically, I'm basically building out a shell of a spreadsheet as I type this. So yeah, that's fun.

I might declare a few months where there are commonalities (like the majority of us like "published in 2017" for December) as decided and worry about the others. Alternately, there may be a runoff.
