Yup.. that's why I re read it 5 times. Hoping that I would grow to love V and Jane together. Maybe my initial dislike would change with a different perspective, if I tried to look at it from all angles, but nope. Didn't happen. All these books later, I am still not a V and Jane fan. Just see V with a VERY different female. And their ending didn't help matters either.

aaaah....for me(view spoiler)[ it would of cheapened the story if the author had of giving us the same solution to Jane that she did to Rhage's human.

It's a paranormal book with a paranormal ending. Seemed fitting to me.
Overall it is such a small part of the overall story that I can look past the ending. (hide spoiler)]

Yeah (view spoiler)[ I didn't want the same ending as Rhage and Mary, but I didn't care for the ghost aspect either. I would have rather Jane remained human though. Mary gets life eternal, Jane wouldn't. V could slow her aging process with small doses of his blood. That would have felt more organic for me considering their situation, and it wouldn't have been the same ending as what occurred with Mary. Plus it would have allowed V and Jane to have a decent revisit down the road with them. They would also have more options as far as their relationship too. Her being a ghost puts a huge limit on what they can have as a couple now in comparison to the other couples. Therefore putting a huge limit on what Ward can write about them in the future.

Jane is still dead. So, many things are not possible for her and V now as far as their relationship. But at the end of the day, whether Jane's a ghost or not, IMO, she's just not a good match for V. (hide spoiler)]

Still to this day my fave book is Zsadist's book. I rated that one five stars. I've re read that one so many times that I've lost count. But overall the books I like the most in the series are, books 1-4, Rehv's book, John Matthew's book, and Tohr's book.

Phury is my baby. But I will honest, ALOT of fans of the series had a hard time with his book. So much so that eventually Ward did admit she dropped the ball with Phury's book. It is a hard book to get through. I hated it the first time I read it, but upon my re read I understood it alot more. So much so that I changed my initial review for it. But I would strongly suggest no one skips Phury's book. Cos when it comes to subplots, it's a game changer for the series. Everything u encounter later in the series, was born in Phury's book. Which for me is what made his book awesome yet tragic at the same time. When u read it you'll know what I mean by the tragic part. It's why many either hated his book, or like myself, had a hard time with it.

I loved JM's book. I've loved JM since book 2. The male he becomes in his book, I think you will love. Just totally not happy with his mate. Hated the idea of them together, loved them in their book, but was back to hating them together after their story was done. LOL

I'm a little grossed out bc her and Butch had sex. I'd rather JM have someone that one of the brothers didn't already have.

Phury. Yea, it seems fitting for his character...being the martyr. Guess we'll see how that all plays out.

I agree with Amy about why JM possibly likes her due to his unfortunate incident, but the dynamic with them just never fully meshed with me. It's too much struggle with them. Doesn't flow enough, IMO. I like her character as an individual, but I honestly cannot see her in a long term relationship with any male in the BDB. Even the new males that will come into the series later on. But I did love them together in JM's book (Lover Mine). But after that, I was back to hating them together, when other things occurred in later books concerning them. (hide spoiler)]

I really wanted Ward to write a Novella on (view spoiler)[V's dad, The Bloodletter. He was crazy, deranged, just flat out cruel.. All the above. I want to know how he came to be such a bastard. I was so truly ticked that the Scribe B*tch chose him to father her children. Yeah I get it. He must have been fine cos V looks just like him, but whatever. And then to allow him to do Vishous the way that he did? UGH! I wanted to kill that woman. For her to be so vain in only considering the physical & cunning attributes of a warrior the Bloodletter would afford her children, over his cruelty to V, that just took the cake for me.

She totally lost all respect from me. And then to want him to whore himself off to the Chosen to make more Warriors? Whatever B*tch... When I read that the 1st time, this was me...


I don't care that she's their Creator/Mother of their race & the natural birth mother to V. She's a deity, for her to be so callous/vain/shallow to sacrifice the emotional/mental well being of her son, just boggles my mind. For real. (hide spoiler)]
