I started this book a few days ago, I'm on chapter XII now. I'm curious how many others are reading, since there are no comments yet. :)So far, I am finding the writing style a little annoying, but I love the characters. I think this will end up being a quick read for me, because I love the characters so much that I can't put the book down. I especially like Margaret, and would have liked to get to know Mrs Wilcox better.
I have not started yet. Not sure if I will have time to get it in this month. But I have checked out the digital copy from my local library....just in case.
I read this book a long time ago. As I remember, the ending didn't live up to the rest of the book, but I could be wrong.
This was a re-read for me, I read most of Forster's work 30 odd years ago and he was a favourite author. I am in the minority as I really like this book, I've recently read Maurice and re-read A Room With A View, all great reads.
I find myself unable to explain why I liked it, but I gave it 4 stars, and I think I'd enjoy reading it again. And this is coming from someone who only rarely re-reads books. :)
{Chptr 6}I've just begun reading this one. I was expecting a very 'serious' novel. Boy was I wrong!
So far it seems quite like a farce, and it seems quite entertaining and amusing.
I'm looking forward to seeing how this progresses.
