I've been trying to read one a month this year. Obviously unsuccessfully as I've just finished the 6th book.
It's been good month. I had 3 new editions to favorites shelf, Heir of Novron, Monsters of Men and The Buried Giant, but out of those 3 I would single out The Buried giant as the best one but hardest one to recommend especially to those who haven't read other Ishiguro's works before.
This was my favorite read this month. It won't actually be released until next year but I met the author and got a signed ARC at New York Comic Con last month. Well worth checking out once it's released! The Bear and the Nightingale

Gasp! you met Naomi and got the signed copy! wow nice going! I liked it a lot so I will read second book soon
Yeah, this was my first Comic Con and turned out to be a really great opportunity to meet SFF authors and get signatures. I didn't even have time to meet all the authors I wanted to. I'll definitely be going again next year and will be doing a multi-day pass this time.
