I had 100 books in mind for this year. Planning to retire the later half of the year, so looking forward to more book time.

When you go into "My books" at the bottom of the screen there's a bar that says "sort by" where yo can choose author, title, etc. Which screen am I using? Why is everything I once knew so confusing with my new groups?
Now - how do I get the portion I clicked on another person's post to be italicized in the new message. Also how do I get it to say Nancy from NJ said........
Nancy from NJ wrote: "Now - how do I get the portion I clicked on another person's post to be italicized in the new message. Also how do I get it to say Nancy from NJ said........"Hi Nancy,
I've inserted a screenshot - hope it clarifies.

If you click "random" it will sort your book list at random - if you click "author" it will do it by author, and so on and so forth.
To answer your second question: you can click "reply" at the bottom of someone's message and it will start the new message with "(insert name here) wrote" (Take note however, that this option is not available on the phone app)

Thanks in adv.

This year am planning to read 10 books. I know it's not an impressive number but its better than nothing. Besides I have already read three books some far in 2017 so am off to a good start :)
Hi Stella, I've set a modest goal of 12 books myself. As long as you're enjoying yourself, that's the most important thing, right?
Susy wrote: "Hi Stella, I've set a modest goal of 12 books myself. As long as you're enjoying yourself, that's the most important thing, right?"You are so right Susy :) I have enjoyed what I have read so far but no 5 stars read yet.
Susy wrote: "Hi Stella, I've set a modest goal of 12 books myself. As long as you're enjoying yourself, that's the most important thing, right?"Definitely! The number doesn't matter at all as long as you're having fun reading!
I am hoping to read 8 books by the end of the year. Hopefully more, but I've got out of the habit of reading, and its a small, but realistic goal for me at this point in my life. :)
Danni wrote: "I am hoping to read 8 books by the end of the year. And of course the important thing is that you enjoy what you read. So good luck with your goal and happy reading! Looking forward to see what you'll be reading!
Hi Stella and Danni, welcome to the group!I had also gotten out of the habit of reading and started out with a goal of 12 books. Eventhough I've now raised it twice (to 40 books) it's still quite modest in comparison to others, but it's okay because I've already read more than I had read in a long time and that is what matters :)
There really isn't a goal that is "too small" or "not impressive enough". Reading is such a personal thing afterall. You should never be discouraged or overwhelmed by others larger goals. We all have such varied amounts of time to dedicate to reading, we read diverse genres and at different speeds. What is paramount is having fun and enjoying the process of reading itself :)
I am hoping to read 10 books by the end of the year (tiny goal I know but only just starting reading something that isn't a university book again). Can't wait to spend the summer reading and relaxing with a good book.
Hi Hannah, 10 books is a great goal! The number doesn't really matter as long as you have fun reading :)
Ilona wrote: "Hi Hannah, 10 books is a great goal! The number doesn't really matter as long as you have fun reading :)"Yep already having a lot of fun reading again and feels nice to be able to go on a journey instead of having to read to learn :)
Hannah wrote: "Can't wait to spend the summer reading and relaxing with a good book..."Yes, really looking forward to that too!
Elle wrote: "I am shooting for 100, not to high for me, but I don't want the goal to be unachieable"Wow, I wish I could read 100 books! Good luck Elle!
Hi everyone! I'm new here, I hope it's not to late to join. For two years in a row I've failed to reach my reading goal by a couple of books, this year I set a realistic number 24.
Welcome Raul! I think everybody will agree that it is never too late! Good luck with your goal and happy reading!

Hello everyone! I've never taken a reading challenge seriously (or been actively reading at all) but this year I'm trying! My personal goal is 80 books! I've made a slow start and have to catch up quick but I'm gonna try my hardest. I figure I can aim big and if I don't make it, it's still better than I've done recently.
I set my challenge last year for 150 books but didn't make it. A book per week is good but 2 years ago I hit around 140 but then I felt pressured when I set it to 150 andlast year was just over 120 I think. I have set my goal for 100 but will change it this week because I'm way ahead. Perhaps at 2 per week I'll settle for 104. Honestly I should be able to read 150 because unlike many of you I am retired and have all the time I want to read yet I think maybe everyone can use a break now and then. Anyway, I'm grateful to be among fellow book lovers like yourself. Best regards to all in the group!

You are right! I've failed to complete past challenges but doesn't matter, I think that what is important is to enjoy every read and to try as hard as you can to complete your goal.
I was aiming for 75 this year, but I do not think I am going to make it. Lost a bit of time in February/March when I moved to my new home in central east Florida, but discovered a wonderful library in town which houses a lot of the books on my tbr list. I'm at 33 now, so I expect I can get to 50.
That's an impressive goal Michael! I also have a similar goal this year (80) which i'm not sure i'll be able to complete. We all have things happen which leads to a little decrease in reading, but it's always nice to have a library with lots of untapped potential reads! I'm also at the 30 book mark! Just try to remember to not get discouraged and still have fun reading , and remember that any little bit more you do is better than none at all. Have fun with your challenge (:!
Thanks Courtney. Our local Humane Society has a program where volunteers can come in a few hours a week and read out loud to the dogs in their kennels. It actually calms them down, and the volunteer gets at least an hour of uninterrupted reading per session. I love it.
I originally set my goal at 52 for this year, but ended up boosting it. I'm at a goal of 100 right now.
Audrey wrote: "I originally set my goal at 52 for this year, but ended up boosting it. I'm at a goal of 100 right now."Good for you!
My goal for this year was 20 and I'm about to surpass that goal for sure by the end of the year I hope to add at least 10 more books to my repertoire.
I am aiming for 50 books in 2017! Silly question. I just started "The Green Mile" by Stephen King, and since it's split into 6 novella's I am wondering if it's cheating to count each novella installment as a book I have read. The series I am reading has each novella as a separate book, so they are thin. What would you do? The purist in me thinks it's cheating- but I also am tempted to add them as part of my 50 books because I am a little behind schedule in accomplishing my goal :P
