Toxic Friend

So my friends K and Iz look like they're silently fighting again. It's because Iz gets jealous when K talks to anyone else and starts this drama. This has been going on for months, and candidly it's exhausting!

None of my friends had come to school last Thursday. When I reached home, K called me to ask whether I had gone. She said she was about to come, but seeing that not many were attending, she didn't come either. She asked what happened and whether Iz had come. I saw Iz with her twin sister in the library, and all we did was wave before I bunked and came back home. She didn't come to class. I found it weird enough that K had called me instead of Iz first, because even though K and I became friends first, those two are more close.

Just now, K called me again and my pathetic conversation skills made me sound awkward. The beginning of the conversation went this way.

K: Hal!?
Me: Yeah.
K: Good morning!
Me: Oh uh.....

I legit didn't know how to respond to good morning! Was I supposed to say good morning back to her??? Or was I supposed to say thanks? Goodness, I'm so stupid!

She wanted to know some important questions in Physics and after I told her, she asked how the Math exam went. I said it was okay (uh I hope I pass!), and she said that she wrote rubbish. Then she told me that Iz was ignoring her. Those two are in the same examination hall while I'm in a different one with another "friend" (who is another big pain in the neck). She said that she didn't speak a word and just walked away, and that she still has K's Zoology notes. Those notes are important because K was absent when the teacher took one of those lessons and there are about 5 lessons in that. She even has my Botany notes, but I guess I'll let it slide since it's Botany. Not like that notes will help.

K also said that she only said 'Alright', and that's it. Every time K calls, Iz doesn't pick up or cuts the call. I seriously don't know what's up with her. I need to wait for another week to see her, so I can't do much. Poor K.

Candidly, I feel the same too, and so do my best friends (they should have transferred to this school with me). I don't deserve it, but I'd be happy with other friends. K is the only one who I can safely say is a good friend. It's only when Iz comes that I get tired of her demeanor.

Yeah, my syllabus changed so much I don't understand anything. That's why I find some subjects really hard. My old school had such shitty standards and this one is of a higher level. I didn't really have a choice.
