What is all this drama in this group? I'm still trying to process everything.

We're not allowed to go there, though :/

Haha I would the last person on this planet to think about bunking classes. I bunk events, and now I'm staring at an event I can't attend.

Ben deleted his account and all of his comments with it, which could be the cause of your page shift.

Thank you! I figured, but I initially thought his comments were still here.

Although the teachers themselves understand that it is rather hard, so they did try to help me more than the others.

I feel you with the stress of science experiments :( Honestly a lot of people like them, but when you're constrained so heavily with time, I can't.

Failed experiment
Everyone comes over and ask me, "Hallie, what did you get? How was it?" Then I reply, scowling, "Surface tension." They give me this oh-dear-so-sad-and-unfortunate look and sigh before asking, "Were you able to focus the meniscus?" I say, "Yeah, somewhat....." Then their faces brighten up and then say, "Really?! Then what happened? I think you've done it right!"
Nooooo I messed up!!!! I took almost an hour for that and made my teacher come over three times. That stupid travelling microscope had a mind of its own. I focus it and two seconds later everything just goes blur. The scale? Ughhhhh!!!!!!! That needle? I legit told the needle to go die even though I realize it is non-living.
Let me explain how I got it on the first place. They are handed out by picking lots, so basically it's just luck and I got very, very unlucky today. I was hoping for something like beam balance, but someone had already picked that lot. I just selected some random dull looking paper, and then my teacher flipped it over and handed it to the attenders who directed me to which table I should go. On the way I saw the words 'capillary rise' and 'surface tension' on it, and my mouth instantly let out a 'shit!' And then I swore in every language I knew while taking my seat and just glared at the instrument forever when the teachers have used the instructions.
I've never failed before! What am I supposed to do with this one????

I guess I'm kind of the same XD I like the ones that we do with pH and solutions, those are fun. But we did a microscope lab and no one knew who was right because all of our images looked so different. So stressful. The only grade I've earned this year that's below an A was on a lab with a microscope- I earned a 73 due to stupidity :/ Yesterday we did this genome experiment and wow, how do people decode those DNA strands so fast? It's not hard but it's tedious... wow...
I'm sorry Hallie, that's kind of unfair. :( You'll rise again, I know it. And hey, maybe you didn't fail. Maybe you got a grade that seems like a failure in your own eyes, but didn't actually fail. I think you're smarter than you give yourself credit for.
And making mistakes is okay. I messed up horribly on the short answer section of Mr. Knox's test the other day. I can't think like a writer when I'm under harsh time constraints. :/
Don't overestimate others. I'm sure that in both of our cases, they will get the same or a worse result, and only a few will do better.

I like those as well! xD Titrations are fun too if you get to do it alone (and if they let you use something other than pipettes). I don't know how I managed microscopes, but nothing as bad at this one. They are a handful, so don't beat yourself up for it. I think we need to do that again next year!
Yeah, there are chances I didn't fail. The teachers corrected my paper even before I left and they didn't really say anything, so maybe. Hopefully. Well, I never think like a scientist xP Always like a writer no matter what, which is why I want to shift from everything science to English in uni.
Well, you're right again. I've seen a lot of people who messed up, albeit I'm the only one in my class who messed this one up in such an important exam.... The others went wrong in something I'm good at.

Oh crap!
We tried apologizing to her, but she is really cross. Everyone was pestering the class prefects to talk to her, and the head class prefect is most likely thinking, 'You guys misbehave and get us into trouble, and I have to go talk to her.' She was already questioned as to why do many had not attended the class in the beginning of the class. Poor girl! Yet she calmly told us to wait for two minutes so that she could take the attendance for the teacher and said she'd talk to her. I'm impressed by the way she is trying to handle things. Hopefully she will know what to do with the teacher as well.
