Well technically, my dream uni was Oxford, but I never applied for my bachelors and they don't have a masters course for Journalism, so Goldsmiths and City are the Oxford and Cambridge of the discipline, and I wanted City because it has a very specific Investigative program.
Goldsmiths has a higher rating and CIJ conferences are often hosted there, but I loooooove the course at City and Goldsmiths only has a plain Journalism MA.
They even updated it on the application portal. It went from "We regret to inform you that you cannot offer you a place in the course this year" to "We are pleased to make you an admissions offer based on the following conditions".
My bitch of an aunt had the audacity to make up rumours about me when I finished school and joined uni. My mum's definitely going to shove it in her face, lol.
Do they have varsity jackets? I need their varsity jacket. Have to wear it while video calling my mum when she goes to visit Grandma :)
Too bad I'm on my period and can't jump around... Same happened when I realised I got into Birkbeck, but I had just reached class and I was dying, so I looked miserable. I'm sure I mentioned this then, but G said, "You're the only one I know who got into college and is so miserable."

Thank you!!!!!!!!!
Hahahahaha G wants to apply to City xD A different course, and if I wasn't so fixated on Investigative Journalism, that's the kind of course I'd be interested in for English Literature. She also applied to Singapore (which is where she was born) as well as Philippines (she's half Filipino), but for the former, she has been shortlisted and will know the results by the end of the month, and for the latter, they said she'd have to wait until after graduation to apply.

Me too :( Hope she's okay.
There's a workshop at uni for the people taking up Psychology for Masters, and apparently it's really intense because they're legit doing therapy on each other. I kinda wanna be there, but also I'm glad I'm not in it because I would not want to participate. Just learn how, but I don't want to talk.
It has been 5 days, and I got 31 responses for my research project. I'll have to exclude two responses since their ages are above the limits I set (one is even from a different country, meep), so I'm left with 29.
I put it up on Facebook as well as my now obsolete writing page on Instagram. That's where I got some responses from, while others were from HR's friends. And, also, G and I went around campus for participants, but even though we sent them out to around 40 people, we barely got any responses. Ugh.
I legit joined a bunch of Facebook groups to get responses. That's where this comes from:Hallie wrote: "I'll have to exclude two responses since their ages are above the limits I set (one is even from a different country, meep)"
And I just got one more response, so that makes it 33 responses.
Oh, 34. Would have been 35, but one of the responses was from Italy, so I had to delete it :(Anyway, Facebook seems to be working better than real life at the moment xD
Woah! I got 5 responses last night from Facebook. That's insane. I'm supposed to ask around at uni today, but I doubt I'll have any luck.
I went around asking people to fill the questionnaire. Not a pleasant experience. At one point, I asked two girl and they were like, "Actually, we have a meeting now." 10 minutes later, we stopped for the day and were about to leave when G saw the two girls and told me, "Hey, ask them. They seem nice." Well...
Fries
Also, N is insane xD She hasn't come to uni in two weeks because she is sick, so I was giving her updates about class during um, class. Our Industrial Psychology teacher let us go (she only teaches for about 20 minutes every class and since she had another class with us in the morning, she let decided to just let us do our thing outside). G and I were down to get tea and the stall that gives it is right beside the food stall that the guy N is flirting with works at (weird story, but basically, dude is a student at a different uni, but works here). I didn't think he saw me and I don't think anyone at uni likes me anyway, so I didn't bother socialising.
Anyway, I was standing there drinking my tea when N called and started yelling incoherently. I could not understand what she was saying so she hung up after saying, "Come online." When I finally texted her, she started questioning whether I don't have class and then urged me to get fries from the dude. Her treat. She told me she knows of my whereabouts despite not being on campus.
I asked her if he told her. She initially refused to tell, but turns about he was on call with her, saw me, and ended up describing my bag to confirm that it was me. I ended up not getting fries, but damn, that conversation was crazy. There's more but it was so long.
This is getting weird cause yesterday, I was on the elevator and this guy I met through HR smiled and asked, "Hey? Class? Is HR there?" And today, another guy I think HR knows came up to our floor and asked the whereabouts of my Journalism coordinator. 10 minutes later, I was down trying to gather the courage to ask people for responses, and the first group I decided to ask was him and his friends. He legit said, "We just met earlier. I'll fill it for you." I doubt he will, though.
Bruh, it's been a week and I have 43 responses in total (41 that I can use). D started circulating yesterday and she has 33 responses :/
Why does my guidance counsellor look so different from what I had pictured in my head? xD She's cute.
The rep at City is also so cute. She gave me a card! She gave the guy in front of me a brochure and when he asked if he could take it with him, she was like, "Yeah sure! It's my gift to you! Happy birthday!" And when I said I have an offer, she was go excited. When I told her which course, she legit went, "I bow down to you. That is such a cool course!" I would like to die this instant please. It's perfect :)

Now I have 61 responses that I can use. That's half of what I need, but the problem is that I need 41 male responses and 28 female responses. Getting female responses is slightly easier because there are people I could annoy into filling it. It's the male responses that worry me. I tried approaching groups of men at uni (for this and for another survey for class) and the experience was so bad that I don't ever want to talk to a guy again.
People are so cheap at times. Someone took the time just to fuck with my survey data by filling in random nonsense. Asshole.

It works for others, though. HR sent hers out two weeks after me, and the very next day, she had 61 responses. Me? Begged for 2 weeks and currently stuck at 65.
Also, my brother's super sick so my home life is awful. It was fun to wake up 4 hours into sleep that came after a panic attack just to hear brother in pain and parents fighting. Love them :)
I went to the stationary store at uni on Friday to print my assignment. The guy told me how much it cost but since there were a bunch of people who had were getting thing printed and I didn't want to pay until he actually gave it to me (people have lost money by not getting the items they paid for when there are a lot of people), so I waited until he gave it to me to confirm the cost and approve the transaction. Asshole said, "I told you the cost then. That's a minute wasted. Now you'll stand then for an extra minute."I'm so glad I'm going to be done with uni in a couple of days and I hope only his store burns down.
