So, I'm sure I'm failing all my exams. I have my interview for City next week and I am freaking out because I still don't have my news story pitch ready yet. I need to go to the dermatologist this weekend, but there is Easter. I can't find the scoring key and interpretation norms for my dissertation, so that's pissing me off. I have an assignment due Monday. I have a bunch of other stuff to get done. Life's crazy.
I realised that I didn't mention this. My dissertation from last year got published. I honestly feel kind of weird with it out - I feel like it shouldn't be there. Anyway, it was strange because my prof called me while I was preparing for my Critical Theory paper to congratulate me before posting about it in the class group. So now everyone in that group knows :/ A couple of teachers congratulated me, which was very awkward. After the exam, I was going to meet N when a guy from my class was hanging out with his girlfriend, our junior. He used to date another one of my classmates but after they broke up, things got weird and the girl he is dating now gets a lot of looks because of the way he treats his ex. Anyway, I walked past them without acknowledging their existence (as I do always), and he called my name. I turned back and he said, "Congratulations on getting your published." So strange. Others said the same too. Very, very strange. Ugh strange.
I need music recommendations. I've been listening to the same damn playlist for 4 months.
Also, I went to the dermatologist, and the guy was like, "So you still have marks." Yeah, but the acne is clearing up pretty good. "I'll give you stuff for the marks." My mum thinks they're disappearing even with the previous prescription, so maybe with this, I can catfish people on the internet with my pictures? "Like last time, I recommend a chemical peel for faster and effective results, but it's optional. It's not what I said before - not the black peel. You don't need that anymore." Sir, I used your routine for a month and my mum thinks my skin is the best it has ever been since 5th grade. Without peel works amazing enough. Basically, update on my skin would be that some parts of my skin are still peeling off, but he suggested that I stop one of the ointments that could be the reason for it exacerbating in that region. But the places I used to have a lot of acne look and feel so good that my mum loves it. All that's left is my chin, but that has actually also gotten a lot better. It used to be a lot worse, but now it's lesser and clearly shows signs of improvement. Just need this dry skin problem to go away along with the chin acne, and I think my face might look a little less hideous.
I have a 3000 word paper due Monday and I only just finished reading the novel. Still gotta analyse it.

Cool, I only went 500 words over the maximum limit. Fortunately, the prof won't care about that but she will care about how she has to reach 3,500 words of utter bullshit about the female experience :/
Surprisingly, I didn't fail my Critical Theory paper. In fact, I got the highest possible grade that she will give us, so even if my assignment is trash, I still have these grades to go with. I also did not fail Industrial Psychology, but I could have gotten a perfect score if I had remembered two phrases. But what I got is okay, too, so I'll try not to beat myself over it. Besides, I have four other papers to fail.
Also, we just did the General Health Questionnaire (which is usually given to patients at hospitals to screen for psychiatric distress), and the professor was going around asking everyone their scores to explain the calculation part to us. For one of the subscales, everyone else said single digits like 8, 7, 0 - and I honestly got confused because I got 16... We did the scoring using an alternate method as well, and while everyone else got a total score of 6 or 8, I got 26. It's just a screening tool and none of the tests we do really diagnose us with anything, but this happens to me every time. I consistently get pathetic results that have concerning implications. Except for intelligence, for which I got above average intelligence. Everything else like adjustment in life, psychoticism, neuroticism, depression, anxiety, emotional quotient (my classmate literally burst out laughing in our first semester after she saw how low my EQ was) - annoying results.

Dreamcatcher 2nd win! I'm so happy for these girls! They deserved to win the second they debuted, honestly.I still remember seeing fans be mad at one of the shows because they announced Everglow as the winner when the calculations showed that Dreamcatcher was the winner. I've been following Everglow ever since they debuted, so I thought, "Let me check the competition." The song was Deja vu. I fell in love. I loved at their past songs - amazing and sooo underrated. The songs they released after - amazing. They have such talented members and their concept is refreshing and just my style. Ugh, I can't believe people would ever sleep on them.
Also, 2NE1 at Coachella? Iconic. Aespa didn't do that bad either.
I'm just really sleep-deprived but I need something energetic to not pass out, so here I am watching random Kpop videos.

I asked a different professor was one of my scales and he had the same one that I had been trying to decipher for the past one month. He said that we can figure out the norms later, but it's so confusing without proper information on it. He did say that he will search a little more, but he might forget, too. I hope he doesn't, because he's really good at stuff like this.
I'm going to sound like one of my classmates posting on Twitter right now, but whatever. City uni, please send me the rejection letter already. The wait is killing me.
Oh fuck. I'm getting another wisdom tooth. So now I have two wisdom teeth erupting, and thanks to my braces fiasco, I'll most likely have to get them extracted :/
I'll admit not having braces and getting comments from my critical family that my skin is clearing up makes me feel less self-conscious when I'm not wearing a mask.
It's been over a week and I still haven't received anything from City. The course director said I could email him if I haven't received anything in a week, so but since I did so bad and my application status continues to show that I've been rejected, I don't have the courage to email him :(
I'm going to beat myself up over this forever. I know :(
I scheduled an email to him so that I just get rejected soon and have a horrible month before June (when my classes end and I'll have to start prepping for finals). I scheduled it so that I don't chicken out while writing the email and it will just automatically get sent at 8:30 AM (seems really early, lol, so he'd probably be like ugh this incompetent, useless little girl can only annoy but has the guts to apply to this uni for such a competitive course).
Ughhh I had a decent week. Now it's going to be crap and everyone's going to start asking questions again.
Last week was legit the calm before a storm.
I finally sent out my survey for my dissertation, which is due by the end of this month/beginning of June. I need a minimum of 120 responses and so far, I've got 9. I'm counting on S and H to do it later, so that's 11. What do I do for the rest? :(
