15. Favourite Song: This varies from time to time. Right now, I guess it's Rescue Me by One republic.
39. Favourite Book: To Kill a Mockingbird
44. Worst Habit: Procrastination.

But I'm planning on working much more this weekend! And next week is spring break, so I'll work more on homework then as well. It'll all balance out!

Quarantine Classes
My uni started online classes this week. It's going.... Well, it's okay. The best class so far has to be today.
We had one right during lunch time, but it was by a new teacher who had replaced the one that left right before this whole pandemic went out of control. As soon as we logged in, there was some show on icebergs, which is, in no way related to Journalism. We kept asking around whether anyone knew what the fuck he was up to in our unofficial group until he finally greeted us.
It was his very first class with us, and he doesn't know a single soul. So we decided to fool around a bit. Every time he asked us a question, we would leave it muted and not respond. Since it's only a voice class, he couldn't do anything. Trolling him was fun, but later we felt sorry for him. The class would have only lasted 10 minutes if we hadn't done that. In 20 minutes, he was done.
Later, S, H and I played a game called Psych. It was really fun. I won the first round, H the second, and S won the last two rounds. I suppose the best was when they asked a reason as to why H needs to wear a disguise, and I forced both of them to choose my answer by writing: 'if not Hallie would murder her.' It was the most accurate one, so they were forced to choose it.

Quarantine Classes Part 2
Today was worse. We had three whole classes, and the lack of WiFi made me rely upon my mum's data. That got exhausted even before I finished the third class.
The first class we had was English Literature. We were doing a critical essay, and even I'll admit it was getting rather boring. The teacher must have muted herself about twice that made us laugh. A little while later, I noticed that someone had texted me. I checked it expecting to see P, but it was C. It's strange because we don't know each other quite well, and he has texted me like 4 times including this. He asked if I was attending the lecture and if I was using my phone to do so. When I said yes, he asked if I wanted to see something cool. Sure. Why not? That's what I told him. And then he said: "Professor G will go on mute in 3 2 1". She stopped talking. Someone pointed out to her that she had muted herself while I realized that it had been him all along. She knew that someone had muted her, but she had no idea who it was.
An hour after this class ended, we had journalism by the new teacher mentioned in the post above. Since we had trolled him so much, a couple of people decided to behave, but some didn't. Someone kept continuously muting him to the point that he even left. Some of my classmates had told the class to be mature, but they didn't listen. When he left, we didn't know what to do. As someone pleaded him to come back, C texted again saying that it wasn't him this time and that he was playing video games. He was actually worried about what would happen. The teacher came back, though, and it didn't repeat.
Half an hour later, only the students who had opted for music and theatre had class because you certainly can't play football or dance online. The theatre class was a disaster. People kept speaking over each other, the teacher kept getting muted, two people kept cursing the teacher in Welsh - it was so chaotic. Another friend and I kept texting each other a live commentary on the disastrous situation. Eventually, he gave us a stupid assignment that involves recording ourselves, so now I have to deal with that :/ Fuck my life.

Contest
Last week, one of the poetry pages I follow hosted a simple contest. The theme was unpopular opinions, and I really wanted to give contents a try on Instagram. I was really nervous and debated doing it until it was one day before the last date, but I nominated P and ended up writing a poem during my online classes. I wrote about....
*drumrolls*
Suicide. Let me be honest, it was trash! I knew the second I put it up that I wouldn't win. P texted me later that night asking more details on how to participate, so with her around, I knew I had absolutely no chance of winning. She ended up not participating, though, and the owner of the page extended the deadline, delaying the results. As she lives in the US, the difference in time zones only made it worse because I read the other entries and they were too good!
My data packed had expired last night, so even though I was up rather early today, I didn't have internet. I was using Goodreads on my mum's phone when my brother finally restored internet services on mine. That wasn't until 8. After breakfast, I went to check on my online classes when I got like a billion notifications from Instagram, and two people - the page owner and P had mentioned me in their stories.
I clicked on one of the notifications and it took me straight to a repost of my poem with the words '1st place' on it. I was shocked! I immediately thanked her and headed to P's account to see that she had put it up on her story along with my personal account to tell the whole world about my existence. And a huge list of comments followed as I was still trying to process it. Me? First place? What a joke! Like me?! The other entries were so good mine looked like absolute trash! How?! I still haven't completely processed it, but that sure made me happy.
But now I've been consumed by embarrassment, regret and sadness owing to my theatre class :/

Why is he such a fucking hypocrite? :/

but on a brighter note, i found out that i'm related to the queen of england. she's my eighth cousin seven times removed! i just think that that is so cool!
