Hallie (inkyhallie) | 16412 comments JYP has a teen music composer audition thingy, and I wanted to give it a try, but you'd need to be born between 2001 and 2010 to participate...

Yep!

I was born in the best year in the history of the universe!!! :P
Also known as 2001. Sorry, I'm annoying as hell when people ask about the date/year I was born.
Oh right, Stray Kids is from JYP, right? I kept thinking there was no group that you usually listen to from that company, but I just realized that I was so wrong.

I don't really know much about JYP. All I know are Twice, Itzy, and Stray Kids. There was another group, but I forgot which, so that's probably DAY6.

Hallie (inkyhallie) | 16412 comments My cousin's grandfather passed away :( My parents want to go to the funeral, and I think they should go because my aunt had come to my grandpa's funeral even though her leg was swollen and she was getting ready for her toes to be amputated. I still remember how she was sitting in a chair when I arrived, made space for me to sit down and unlike others, didn't scorn at my attire or at the fact that we were super late. She quietly asked if I had thrown up in the bus, which not even my own mother had asked, and sympathised. She was legit the only family there who had bothered to check if I was okay, because there was so much going on in my head at that moment. My grandfather, whom I actually knew, had just unexpectedly passed away, I had exams in exactly one week, and I was so dizzy from having seen the contents of my stomach. She was just so caring, and she's always caring. It's so horrible that she has so many shitty things happening to her all at once :/

I'm so sorry to hear that... Dx

message 23091: by Hallie (new)

Hallie (inkyhallie) | 16412 comments Speaking of my whole travelling sickness problem, I kind of see some difference between relatives on both sides. I have only older people on my dad's side of the family, so I easily got bored of being the baby there. And I barely knew my grandparents because Grandpa was way too serious for 4 year old me to talk to, and Grandma and I never managed to get over the language barrier because I suck at Welsh and she didn't understand English.

On my mum's side of the family, I have two younger cousins, so I have non-adults for cousins, and my grandparents are more approachable. Grandpa would sing songs in Irish just so that only I could understand and everyone else could roll their eyes in envy, narrate entertaining tales and be the best grandfather in the world even those he didn't deserve a shitty grandkid like me. Grandma is nice too, and fortunately, she studied English till eight grade, and can understand at least a bit of what I say (not because she isn't good, but because she doesn't have enough practice and I speak with that accent, which, for some strange reason, no one there understand).

So I favoured my mum's side of the family more because it was less lonely.

But, I noticed that my dad's side cares more. I suppose it's because I used to go to my dad's place covered in puke with annoyed parents, but they know how my travelling sickness gets and how taxing it is to travel. They just bother to ask every single time, force me into bed so that I can get some rest, and don't go all, "You throw up every time because you don't eat." Like, no. They know it's been happening since the first time I went there, and they know it just refuses to disappear because they've seen my parents force that disgusting pill down my throat to get me to stop piling. They've noticed it doesn't work at all. They've also noticed that all their possible remedies barely seem to work. And they just care to know if it ever changed now that I'm not 2 anymore.

My mum's side, on the other hand, does not give a damn. One time, I puked in their porch and they still did not care. I went to my grandpa's funeral looking like I was the dead body and not grandpa (sorry if this analogy is too much), and they still didn't give a damn. Now that I go to Mum's place instead of Dad's, I've realized that her place isn't as fun as I wish it was.
