I didn't even mention what I read (though my shelves give a good idea, I guess). Had to go back and edit.

Still working it all out, Christina, but it will look something like this; I'll send a message out for members to nominate books for the book of the month read and the two-week read. That process will go for a set time, say a few days. Then, members will vote on the nominated books, and the books with the most votes will win our proud eyes and minds.

I live in Syracuse, NY where the long, cold winters provide the perfect time to read a lot! I enjoy reading current fiction, mysteries, the old classics, anything well written. I'm a retired Register Nurse and I fill my days with quilting, knitting and my big family gets lots of handmade gifts. I enjoy listening to audio books while creating. I look forward to being part of this group. I do belong to a traditional book club as well as a book challenge with my nephew (the 100 best books of the 20th Century) and my 4 daughters and I have an online book club with a private blog to keep the discussion going.

I'm happy to be a part of this diverse group. My name is Kristin and I live in San Diego, California. I'm a writer and a social media manager. I'm looking forward to reading with you all!

My name is Caroline. I am 20 years old.
I am Serbian but currently living in Germany while I am studying dentistry there. In my free time I love to read, my fav. genres are: crime, horror, mystery or science (mostly about our Universe, astrophysics)
In my free time besides reading I love to draw or just to listen to Pink Floyd.
Can not wait to hear all your opinions about all those lovely books that we will read.

I live in Arlington Texas but originally from New Orleans. I read so many books and genres such as Romance, Mystery Humor, (favorite), Non Fiction such as Historical Fiction. I am a very picky rater with books as described on my profile but I promise you I am a nice guy! (Just read too many books to waste my time on duds).

My name is Laine. I am a Coffee addict and proud of it. I have been a Librarian for the past 6 years and loving every minute of it. I get to read all the books I desire, I can get my hands on any book and I love discussing books with people. I love to review books as well. Can't wait to start sharing books with you all. I am sort of into all kinds of genre except horror. Not a huge fan of horror books. Thrillers I like, but not horror. Interesting, I know :)

I don't like all genres, but I like a lot of them.
Sci-fi/fantasy/horror/romance, I don't read much.
My favorites are cozy, forensic, and police
procedural mysteries, auto-bios/bios/memoirs;
mod literature and classics, (I just began reading)
historical fiction, non-fiction, poetry (esp. Dickinson)
and Catholic bios, spiritualties, and theology.
This coming year, I don't plan to buy many books.
I want to read a lot of my TBR and e-books (2000+ for each)
I am also a writer, published in the local newspaper (local
history and genealogy how-to series). I am hoping to write at
least one novel, a book based on my 4 maternal great, great
grandmothers, who were pioneers to Kansas.

You are very much welcome, MaryAnn. Hopefully, we pick some things that interest you here. Looking forward to that non-fiction masterpiece you're cooking up, my friend.

I review everything I read, and my reviews can be found here.
Thank you for the invitation to join this group.
Hi everyone and thanks to John for this group invite! I'm Stephanie Jane from Devon in England, but currently living in a caravan in southern France.
I love reading great books across most genres, especially books from around the world and small press/indie authors. I blog all my book reviews at Literary Flits (http://litflits.blogspot.co.uk) and write about my travels at Stephanie Jane (http://stephjb.blogspot.co.uk).
I'm looking forward to getting some book suggestions through this group :-)

Hey there, Stephanie! You're welcome. Glad to have you. Thank you for joining the group. Caravan? Sounds interesting. Looking forward to discussion great stories with you.

Because of my job, I try to read a bit of everything. But I'm still not a big fan of Romance, nor have I read a lot of Westerns. I'm a huge fantasy reader, I also love mysteries and thrillers and non-fiction. I champion graphic novels and comics quite often as well. I also make an effort to read books in every age range. So I'm hoping this group will push me to read even more out of my comfort zone, and give me good recommendations!

I'm James and yes, my name really is James Joyce. Every teacher, writer, or librarian I met growing up wanted to be the first to tell me that I had the name of a famous author.
And yes, I've written stories since before I can remember (I have a grade 2 report card commenting on how it's great I write so many stories, but could I write more that don't have monsters in them?), but I'm not a published author. Yet.
I read science fiction/fantasy, mystery, thrillers that have a supernatural or science fiction angle (like Relic or half of Michael Crichton's books), literary, short... okay, so I guess I'll read almost anything, if it strikes my fancy. Unfortunately, lots (in any genre) don't... and quite a few shouldn't have.
This is the first group that I've joined from the foundation.
If you want to amuse yourself (maybe), I have a handful of pics where I've photoshopped myself into movies, on my personal page.
