What exactly do you mean? What's important is the (view spoiler) and that's listed, right? Or is there something else?
Also, can anyone help with another thing? I'm sure that murderers obtain alibis by changing the time on the clock in a great number of detective stories, but, of course, now I can't find any... Can anyone think of some? One would be enough... I have to reference the stories and my head is completely empty, haha

Evil Under the Sun
I too think it might be Death In the Clouds. Poirot has a list of the contents of each of the passengers' luggage and their pockets. (This is a closed-room mystery, in which the closed room is an airplane.) This list alerts Poirot to the culprit right away, even though he/she seems highly unlikely and (view spoiler) Naturally, Poirot doesn't reveal the murderer until after a great deal of activity, even though he knows almost immediately. But, being Poirot, everything must first come together.

This might be exactly what I'm looking for! Thank you!!
If you like a Miss Marple Mystery there's one on Youtube. https://youtu.be/e2iLz5-mKFc?list=PLp... If you don't like Watching the small screen, just listen to it while you do something else. Either way, enjoy!

"The Clock"s Agatha Christie is a novel with Poirot : Sheila Webb, who works for Miss Martindale's typist-for-hire agency, arrives at her afternoon appointment on Wilbraham Crescent in Crowdean, Sussex. She finds a well-dressed corpse surrounded by six clocks, four of which are stopped at 4:13, while the cuckoo clock announces it is 3 o'clock. When a blind woman enters the house about to step on the corpse, Sheila runs screaming out of the house and into the arms of a young man passing down the street. Good luck

I'm looking for a Christie book where there is a list of things in a room (or a handbag or somewhere) and a thing that should be in there is not and that's the important clue. I'm writing my MA thesis on detective stories and CANNOT remember which book it is! I think it's a Poirot book where he tells Hastings (or someone else helping him with the investigation) that what's important is not there and it should be.
Can anyone help? I would be so grateful!!!
Thanks!
