Is this a stand alone or part of a series? Is it a romantic suspense (as in, does he end up getting back together with his ex?) Does he find the killer? Was HE the killer? Anything about the cover? How did you find it? Any memories of the author--male/female, new author, established author, well known/unknown?

This is one of the few groups on GR that actively encourages spoilers, since with so many books out there with similar basic plots, and a plot device that stands out to you might not stand out to anyone else. As an example of this, I'd been trying to find a book that I read many years ago while in hospital recuperating from major surgery, and the thing that I remembered the most from it (besides the ending) hadn't even been remembered by the reader who id'ed the book for me.
