Hello out there, last night I decided to reactivate this lovely Goodreads group. The reason for that is Ann's Blog"A Year of Reading the World" and her post "Postcards from my bookshelf" . Please head over ~ you might receive a translated book :-).

My plan is again to read a translated book a month in 2017 and I have started to find ideas for interesting and diverse books. Please feel free to give suggestions especially about Asian, African and South American authors.

I am so looking forward to this wonderful project and to seeing you all around! Take good care and maybe put some translated books on your Christmas reading list :-)!

Ahmed Alameen (ahmedhalameen) | 4 comments There's this new novel by Paulo Choelo, it's called "The Spy" and I think it's based on true events. I'm thinking of stealing a copy when I'm back home next month. That's Latin American, African novels I heard there's a book called "Incubated in China" By a Tanzanian writer, Shubilia. It's a story about her experience as an expatriate in China; a self discovery tale. As for Asia I honestly just know me as an author. Kima is my newest inspirational fantasy.

Hi there, I know Alif Shafaq. She was a judge at the 2013 Independent Foreign Fiction Prize. That is a brilliant suggestion. Does the Tanzanian author write in English or another language? I have only read one book by Paulo Coelho which I liked. I'll consider that one too. Thanks very much for your input.
