How did you like Unhooked as a Peter Pan adaptation?

I enjoyed this one a lot more than I thought I would. I don't recall the reason I picked it up - maybe it was nominated earlier on this book club and thought I would get ahead of the curve. I think it worked as an adaptation and probably even better because it has a lot of overlaps with the Once Upon a Time TV series in its depiction of Hook. Like Alice in Wonderland, I prefer the stories when they tend towards dark as opposed to the Disney style.
