Hi. Need Help Please. Looking For A Book.

Hello all,

I'm new here; I'm JakeB. Nice to meet you all!

I started this thread because there's this book I found out about and became very interested in it but now I can't remember its title or author. I'm so mad and now I'm obsessing over it, LOL.

Anyway, the book is a novel and is about a male gay teen living in a rural part of the USA. *I think* set in the past (maybe like 40s-70s), it's a (of course) M/M romance I'm pretty sure; with another boy his age, I again *think* they're sort of cowboys or something; and apparently the book has received very good reviews and everything and there even had been talks to turn it into a movie apparently.

Does any of this ring a bell with anyone at all?

I'd greatly appreciate any help anyone could provide.

Like I said, I'm obsessing over this already; it's gnawing at my brain all the time now, LOL.

It obviously sounds like Brokeback Mountain, but Gore Vidal's THE CITY AND THE PILLAR starts a bit like that, as do many gay-themed books I suspect. Good luck.

I'm really sorry for having forgotten this thread I started.

I did remember (but I don't remember how I came to remember, lol...) what book(s) I was looking for.

They were 'Letters To A Shooting Star' and 'Cody' by Keith Hale. Very good books. I amply recommend them to anyone who hasn't read them.
